It all feels very surreal.
The build up has gripped us all and never have I felt this way about any match.
We had all the family together, all spurs, all ready. And after a minute all that hope, optimism and belief had gone. 1 fucking minute. We've done marvelous to get to the champions League final, but a penalty in the first minute feels like it could only happen to us.
I thought we controlled the whole game. That said I think Liverpool thought "come on then spurs, show us what you got" after they scored after a minute. And what did we show them? Not much. We huffed and puffed but I never thought we looked like scoring.
I feel so weird. They were actually awful IMO. Yet they beat us comfortably 0-2. I feel like we really needed players to step up and be brave tonight, but we were way too passive.
I'm so proud of us getting to a final. Top 4 and a champions League final is an unbelievable achievement. But the way the game panned out has left me feeling just empty. Not really angry at us, or mad, or really frustrated. Just the disbelief that they beat us comfortably 0-2 even though they were terrible.
And I'm not sure what that says about us.
Love to all you fans who travelled with and without tickets. Unbelievable commitment. Be safe and have a safe journey back.
We go again in August, because we're Spurs. And in 10 years time when all of the current players have left or retired, we'll still be supporting and watching, and still loving the top moments and being frustrated with the bad. But that's football.
Dunno what else to say.
