I’m almost at the point where I want the game replayed just to shut these fuckers up! We’re never going to hear the end of it, imagine if we miraculously won the league this season! We’d be forever mocked and called cheats. I’ve never felt so down after a victory, my son was in tears of joy and relief when we scored the winner and complete strangers were hugging him, now it just feels empty. To be honest I feel like the VAR team should apologise to us! Fuck this game!

Like I've said before, I hope they keep pushing and it ends up with Referees boycotting all Liverpool games.

Liverpool think they are putting pressure on refs and Var so future decisions go their way, but the opposite will happen. Refs will close ranks, give everything against them. There will be a conspiracy then and it will be all Liverpools making.

how on earth should a re-match actually be arranged??

should the red cards stand and liverpool start with 9 men? 10 men?

Should Jota serve his suspension if the game is rearranged and his card happened after the offside incident?

will supporters get new tickets?

will wolves get a replay at old trafford for that obvious pen not given? why not?

etc

Exactly. What about other consequences, like betting payouts, TV rights etc etc? Liverpool are honestly pathetic, I felt sorry for them at the time now I just think they are a joke. I'm pretty certain it won't happen but the fact they are even suggesting it is laughable.

I hope it goes that way!

The irony is that a replay damages the sporting integrity they speak of

Hopefully Klopp gets punished now. He's criticised the red card of Jota and brought the game into disrepute with his claims for a replay. That will just light the flames. A manager should settle his fans down and focus on the next game.

More chance they replay the game than that happening. Fortunately Klopp isn’t exactly on the PL & FA’s Christmas card list with his behaviour and comments towards officials over the last few years.

It's over, it's finished, nothing will happen other than the apology they have already received. It will never be replayed, end of.

It was one thing being a mere suggestion on social media from "fans", but the fact the face mug of Liverpool has mentioned it, it changes the dynamic slightly. I still don't think it will happen, but coming from Klopp means it's certainly in the air.

When things aren't going you way, change the way it works purely for your own benefit, whilst masking it up as altruism.

Does this sound like the tories, or Liverpool fc...

"If it would happen again then I think the replay would be the right thing to do, or the ref has the opportunity to bring both coaches together and say 'sorry we made a mistake but we can sort it, let Liverpool score a goal and we start from there'."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. They're all fucking mental

So, not only does he want a replay, he wants it to start with Liverpool leading 1-0!!!

Nah don’t let it get to you. We certainly haven’t cheated anyone. Just think of all the times we’ve been absolutely robbed. They mock us for that too and call us Spursy. We did absolutely nothing wrong and just played out the match. Bad decision for Liverpool but everyone gets them and we’ve had way more. I don’t see any asterisk against anyone else getting these kind of breaks. Take your mind off it, go give your kid a hug and tell him it’s done now and we move on.

Thats right and it is why we need a statement from the officials that it wont happen to end this once and for all. Otherwise the noise from the huge whiny fanbase will continue.

If they start with a goal then they also start with 9 men. Simples.

Can somebody please link me to Klopp’s quotes offering to replay their FA Cup fixture against Wolves last season? I thought they’d be easier to find, given he’s so big on integrity.

Edit - oh wait, they don’t fucking exist.

Van Dijk said not that long ago actually that players were playing too many games, and they were being put at risk.
Today, Liverpool will play more games as long as it could benefit them.
