Liverpool are going to push for the game to be replayed. Can see it coming a mile off.

Now does anyone have 100% faith in the authorities that they wont make us play the game again?

It seems far too ridiculous for it to happen but I am not that convinced to tell you the truth.

Dear Liverpool. Here are two examples of similar 'factual errors' by VAR officials. No one got a replay.

Arsenal 1-1 Brentford: February 11, 2023

Arsenal were denied two points in their race for the title after VAR's Lee Mason did not use the right player when checking for an offside in Brentford's goal.

Mikel Arteta was not happy after the game. He said: "That wasn't a human error. That was a big, big, big not conceiving and understanding your job."

Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton: February 11, 2023

John Brooks was taken off VAR duty for two games after he drew the offside line in the wrong place, denying Brighton's Pervis Estupinan a goal.

Well yeah, but Liverpool were not involved in either of those matches.

Saka also scored against Liverpool last season from an offside position but because the cameras were positioned incorrectly, they didnt pick him up. Same thing went in their favour v Wolves in the FA Cup.

Ask all you like, the answer is fuck off to the back of the queue, let’s replay all the other injustices and significant human errors first. And not just for us, Newcastle want that goal back that was incorrectly offsided vs Liverpool. Onana is getting his arse handed to him for that knock out punch. Those hand balls that changed the rules. Arsenal, Brentford, they are all in line first, let’s start with the west ham game and being forced to play with norovirus, and we will have the 40m quid lost from missing CL money in compensation, ta, and there’s those guys who got relegated because of a dodgy offside call… and and all… maybe just suck it up. Or let’s demand a hand of god replay and make the original (living) players play walking football… we all know this is ludicrous. Every club has countless examples of shitty decisions in games. Every club. Chelsea are after having that Champions League final replayed where the Swedish ref was insane…

Fuck me Wolves knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup last year but for the var team completely missing a player playing the wolves goalscorer onside and they went on to win the replay. That was one of the most egregious fuck ups ever. How long was the outrage again?

There’s a special kind of entitlement at play here. But the question is, why, when others get utterly fucked over do they accept it and say it’s part of the game? Is it about being winners and losers? Is it the notion that it adds up over the course of a season? (It does, given the chart I saw earlier that says Liverpool top the league for benefitting from erroneous var decisions with 24p gained, vs 22p against them… so they are in the plus column. Isn’t it just like surrounding the ref and bullying them? Like VVD refusing to walk off the pitch when he’s been red carded and calling the ref a fucking joke… etc.

This isn’t about Saturday, it’s about next week and the week after and the week after.

Ref Watch on Skysports is discussing the issues in the game.
Diaz goal was onside. We all agree
Jones red card. Both Warnock and Smith say no red and blame the onscreen shot of the incident. Dermot overruled them and said watch the full incident.

warnock bleating on about a replay because Howard Webb did it before in America that was the funniest statement I heard all morning.

the fact remains had it happened the other way around the conversation would last about 30 seconds but because Liverpool play the victim card all the time we have an extended show.

Warnock says Udogie should have been red carded for waving the imaginary card……..Warnock says not a yellow and therefore not a red. He really is digging deep into the barrel to look for excuses.
Warnock is, was and ever shall be - a complete twat.

The issue they have, if they sanctioned this, where does it stop? How many clubs will come forward and say they want games where they have had decisions going against them replayed?

It would open up so many further issues that I don't think they would want to face.

There certainly does need to be a review of VAR though and how it is being implemented because it's an absolute joke of a system.

The amount of football fans in work this morning taking Liverpool's side is ridiculous. All believing the red card should have been a yellow. The bias Sky Sports commentary has literally fooled everyone into thinking all the decisions were wrong. I have to say, I hate Liverpool more than Arsenal.

The correct answer is to say 'Yeah, but what can you do' accompanied by your very best Jeremy Clarkson smug look.

The game will not be replayed we wouldn't play it anyway even if they asked.
Liverpool fans are just making an absolute joke of themselves.
Nearly sixty years I've been going to football and in all that time I've never heard anything so utterly ridiculous, even from Liverpool fans and that's saying something.
The game is over it's on the record books it's done it's dusted and we deserved our win, end of.

I have no faith in the FA or PGMOL or the PL, but us replaying this game would open up a door that will never shut again. Clubs will be asking for replays every week, the EFL clubs will say "why can't we have replays?".

It's a non-starter.

Fact Liverpool are in such a pickle over it all means the win is sweeter for every complaint they make…. Ha!

If the opponent wasnt liverpool, this incident would have been forgotten by now. Lessons would be learnt, everyone will move on and hope it never happens again. The media would crack on talking about how crap Man u are.

However, because it is Liverpool, i do worry. They have a huge fanbase, fans in important positions in media and positions of authority, i can see them constantly crying and getting something out of it. It will be so wrong if they do. Mistakes have happened, move the F on.

Replay the game, then cancel it when another mistake is made and replay it again until they get it right. Its the only way they will learn.

I agree, but it is us. If it were another team I would say no chance of it happening but we do seem to be unlucky. Hopefully there is another fuck up in the game tonight to take the focus off of our game for 5 minutes!

Plus they are in line for a fine from the FA because they had 5 bookings and the 2 sendings off. That will be amusing when that lands! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

My favorite line was "Probably everybody here in the room thinks it's a clear red card, I see that different, just because I played football and most of you probably didn't."

While i always had a begrudging respect for the guy, it gets less and less every time something goes against him. This one quote tells tells you everything you need to know. Arrogant and willing to delude himself. Anyone who has played the game's sphincter tightened up upon seeing the foul whether or not it was in slow motion. The bottom of a boot hitting the shin on a planted foot is as dangerous as it gets in the game.

You mean Liverpool, fan and ex player Warnock. Surely no biased there, i suppose.
