If we can start stringing together passes instead of so many giveaways, I'll think we'll be ok.

Its funny because all I see are fucking rondos in the training videos. Why cant we pass? it isnt the players alone. Teams know what we are doing, we are predictable btu if our players are beign asked to pass the way they are then ofcourse its all going to be intercepted etc... we are predictable. Its easy to see so its up to Conte to change his tactics and approach.

Our build up play is a horrorshow and has been all season. Aimless ball towards Kane who tries a flick or loses the ball. This in turn makes it easy to counter-attack through our middle.

I don’t know if its Contes rigid system or if the players are not just executing it right, but it looks plain stupid and naive when we try to play the same pass time and time again.

So poor again. We’re so fucking deep all the time - if we let the likes of
Maddison play he’ll create chances.

Zero movement up front either, and they’re not holding the ball up at all. Set pieces aside, Perisic has been awful. We need to wake up, push 10 yards up the pitch and find some energy from somewhere. We’re making Leicester look like a decent side FFS

Yet again, we set off looking like we were about to perpetrate a massacre and then we … didn’t.

Sanchez does that sometimes, but we can deal with it by scoring 2 goals. But then we did the same thing we do in every match, which is to start passing directly to the opposition under no pressure, not one but 20-30 times.

Maddison’s goal was a wonderful finish, but it happened because we had been inviting pressure by losing the ball in midfield - and everywhere else - for at least 15 minutes, resulting in unending pressure on our defence.

It’s plainly a systematic issue with our play, whether it is due to poor concentration, overambitious flicks (Richarlison) or the undermanned midfield. It needs addressing right away. Not just in half time talks. Generally.

A bullshit penalty that they got to take twice, they had a goal saved by the Ref treating the goal-keeper like a protected species and then beat Lloris with a missed kick that rolled up the leg and turned into a worldie chip off the knee. We have been unlucky.
The penalty was a foul and Lloris was off his line.

If Sanchez could deal with simple balls in the air we’d not have conceded the first, if we could hold onto the ball for longer than three passes we’d not have put ourselves under massive pressure the entire time after taking the lead, and if Sess doesn’t put in such a weak effort to win the header they don’t draw level.

Perhaps there was an element of misfortune in Maddison’s mishit ending up in the back of the net but we’ve really got no one to blame but ourselves.

Gotta hope Bissouma gets up to speed.

I don't think being outnumbered in midfield is as much an issue as some, the issue is that only one of the 2 can play through pressure. You need both to be resistant.

Hojbjerg is struggling every time he's pressed back.

A system that significantly relies on the quality of its WBs for success is struggling for form with its collection of solid if uninspiring WBs.

Best stick with the system no matter what.

If it was Jose or Nuno in the dugout there would be carnage. This is terrible. Leicester are terrible and we are making them look decent. How can we get dominated in the middle of the park most of the season and still persist in playing this formation.

Bugs me that we still don't seem to have any leaders on the pitch.

They mentioned kane had a word but someone needs to be out there hollering. The mid game management is non existant

This. We've lacked a proper leader for so long. Dier probably the closest we've got out there, but he's not at the level we need.

Don't worry Bissouma will get 3mins at end..
Results have masked performances so far this season. Until we have a duel threat from the wingbacks its not going to get any better because our midfield 2 don't bring enough offensive creativity. Barrella/SMS they are not.
Can't understand why Conte won't try a 3man mid and 2 up top. Kulu, Gil or even Harry could play the 10.
I think the two in midfield are getting swamped often, it’s a common thing in games.

Skipp has to play. His commitment is what we need. Bentancur is just not his usual sharpness today. I think Bissouma will be edgy again coming on.

Then Kulu shift to the no. 10 to have an extra body in the centre which he can also go direct while creating. Seriously we don't need so much congestions in the channels with our wide forwards competing with the wingbacks for space.
