If this result holds and United/Chelsea win, we'll be in 6th. A draw or loss to Wolves, which is a very difficult away match, and we could be staring at 9th. The fortunes of a team can change so quickly in this league, and this squad with Mourinho at the helm is going to be completely momentum driven. Have good results and generate belief, but go on a run of bad results with accompanying bad press, and things go sour quickly.

This is the most important half of football so far this season. It's imperative we at least draw if not outright win this. Losing here sets off a chain reaction of negativity that will damage the squad's psyche.

1 point from Palace, Liverpool and Leicester is better than nothing.

Just hope we're up for the big game midweek
In the run of city, chelsea, arsenal, palace, pool, leicester, I thought we would get 6-8 points points and fall out of the top 4. After the first three games, we were way ahead of schedule... now we're back in the mud

Spurs will win this, I know I'm usually negative on this forum but I have a good feeling about this one. Just the fact Leicester are such a predictable team, it doesn't take much to break them down.

3-1 to Spurs incoming...

Leicester are doing well pressing and crowding us when we get possession in the middle. It is not allowing us to turn and break. Shocking that more teams don’t do it against us quite frankly.

I'm actually really intrigued to see what Mou does for this second half. How long was it since we went in to a second half losing the match? I can't remember. It's a make it or break it situation for how this Spurs team play.

Ah the anti football line is being brought up in here by our own fans now.

It's a slippery slope from here on out ...

Interesting that there were lots of posts in the line up thread asking for this exact team. "Best team on form". When will people realise that playing all your best players is not the default way to win a game. I saw lots of examples where gio, tanguy, peh and Sissoko were getting in each others way. We simply cannot play four central players. Gio was coming inside all the time.

I freely admit many on here understand tactics better than me, so - genuine me question - can someone please explain what we're trying to do in possession, other than break? I just don't get it.
Problems in possession all stem from our defence and midfield being so close together so there is no one to pass to other than someone standing right next to you or a long punt. and thus the ball just keeps getting turned over.

I get the defence first strategy but there has to come a point where you realize it is to the team's detriment and play higher up the pitch.
Counter attack is not the only way to score a goal.

Let's go to what we did after Palace equalised last week and stuff this lot out of sight in the 2nd half.
