He's best with space to run in to, not sure how effective he's going to be against a 10 man defence, we'll see.

Pleased to see Skipp on the bench, he needs game time as its a long road back for Dier to get to back to the player he was, if he ever can

In the absence of a player who can pass smoothly from a deep position, we will depend a lot on Sissoko running the ball forward and Dele finding space between the lines. Burnley can just drop even deeper than usual and let us circulate the ball in front of them. The other option is Alderweireld passing long toward Dele making runs through the defence. Kane will be in for a struggle today, I suspect.

Not happy with the midfield I'll be honest, not much control going to be had with Dier, Sissoko and Dele in front. Hopefully we still have enough but it's burning me that our 3 best passers are on the bench.

No issue with Lucas starting as I think he’s a fantastic player when he’s on it and has the pace we lack in this team, but if Dier is playing then we got the defensive midfielder to protect the defence, which means GLC needs to be given a chance instead of Sissoko. Hopefully GLC starts Bayern and impresses Jose enough to start next game.
