GLC is exactly the sort of player who is comfortable with the ball. I don't understand why you're so against him ever playing. Moura hasn't been setting the world on fire.
I agree fully with you that as fans we should expect more from Lucas. As I think is a description on every player on the pitch these last games. But that alone, that singular argument is not enough to all of the sudden start somebody who is a worse fit and has less experience. Lucas is finally getting a run in the team, and I believe that is fully warranted. HE won't get any better from now returning to the bench just because he doesn't play like a world star. This amazing Spurs Community love for a) new signings who b) don't play is very irrational. There is no reason yet to announce that Lo Celso is our saviour.

At home to a team like Burnley too. We will start with no tempo. Dier and sissoko will be happy to complete square passes and will invite Burnley into the game. Also what's happened to foyth?
I don't get it. Most teams would love to have a creative midfielder with the talent that GLC has. Yet we leave him on the bench game after game in favour of a midfield with zero creativity.

Most are saying Lucas was poor against Manure but EVERYONE was poor and insipid against Manure...

I like this team very much, it's a good line up and builds consistency. I maintain my worry for the Alderweireld Sanchez partnership, as neither is bad on their own but I don't like them together. But our options are limited.

I think it's going to be a real struggle today and, looking at both teams, our midfield in danger of being outnumbered

I'm fine with Lucas getting a chance. I'd just like to see GLC getting a chance too. He's very talented and he's what we are missing in midfield. I'm not saying he's our saviour, but he literally cannot be any worse than Sissoko or Winks in that position. Five mins at the end of games is pathetic. He was bossing games against the best teams in La Liga. He's not some unknown punt.
