I don't even feel bad for Pochettino anymore, I pity Mourinho. There's way too much work with this team and we are going Arsenal route until we pay off the stadium. Pochettino predicted that we would need overhaul and Wenger that we will repeat Arsenal's strategy. With no top 4 pressure anymore we could at least play kids and hope some of them turn out to be good, sell half the team that aren't good enough anymore.

Mind you, I'd be struggling to get the old limbs moving in this weather. Miserably cold and wet.

Then again I don't get paid 50k plus per week either.

I've seen half a dozen times where Moura, Alli and Sissoko between them have watched a tricky ball going towards a Brighton player, and just watched and allowed him to take it, turn, and pick out the next pass/forward ball and relieve pressure/keep play going instead of being right in the back of them giving them no option to do anything and close down the play.

Shit like that is the telltale. Lack of focus, lack of intensity, lack of effort, lack of intelligence. Not doing the dirty work and then feeding off that into the rest of our game. Get at them and work hard.

One huge difference this season is playing without erisken, it’s like when modric left us, people only realised how vital he was once he’d gone and as shit as Eriksen has been this season because his head is at Madrid, no one can deny that he was our fulcrum of play for the last 3-4 seasons. Add to that today that we are without son and this truely is a mid table team. Barely any of our players would get in City lpool or Leicester or Chelsea teams.

jose tactics are a little negative and it’s hard to get used to the lack of pressing and possession and more long balls but without creative players it’s easy to defend against and boring.

We were shit end of last season too so that doesn't stack.

We simply have to invest this January. We need changes to the core of this team

We all can see that but come the 1st feb when everyone else has strengthened and we have done noting the usual excuses will be trotted out by Levy!

Moura is slack today, interesting watching how quickly he switches off after he's done one piece of covering and seems to think his job is done.

When we don't have the ball, sessegnon is pushed back quite a bit rather than pressing with the three you'd think he'd be working with. I'm not quite sure this asymmetric full back approach is worth persisting with if everyone knows how to counter it now.

Winks is doing ok in midfield. There's a lot of rubbish posted about him on here, but he's clearly a better baller than Dier or Sissoko, even if that's a low bar. But Alli has to do more ahead of him to either get between lines or break ahead of Kane. At the moment, were plodding up front again and the urgency just isn't there.

He didn’t even touch the player ffs so it was a wrong call. Also it was one of those situations where tactically we were left wanting as winks has to run back and put out a fire created by others.

Dont slide in like that

It really makes me mad when these players are paid so much money and they play with no enthusiasm or any passion at all.
That’s not what’s happening. Everybody is working hard.

There’s a default conclusion to losing that it’s because the players lack passion. What does that even mean.

We’re losing because we’re not very good. We’re a mid table team.

Is anybody surprised at the tactics

Let's just remember that we sacked our best manager in decades for this

Let's hope we improve

From reading this thread you could be forgiven for forgetting that we’ve only lost twice in the league under Mourinho, one of which was due to giving United a sloppy penalty...
