Back home and watching the highlights. Feel for Hugo he really had no chance. It’s awful for keepers to have so many banged past you but he really did have no chance. Their finishing was just out of this world.

First 30 minutes we were good. Last hour we were laughably poor. Embarassing

First time we’ve conceded 7 at home...ever? Ridiculous

We're on horrid form and just conceded 7 at home.

Don't insult people's intelligence by claiming people will kneejerk.

I’m I think he was having a go at people having a go at those having a go.

Or, more simply, you both agree.

Have you been watching another team since the start of last season?

He’s just pointing out that obviously Poch can coach because of the %90 of his career with us when he took us from flakes to contenders. People are angry and frustrated but that doesn’t mean you get to rewrite that history right?

Amazing you had to actually explain that.

I just remembered something. We put an awful lot of energy into the Soton game with only ten men. And we didn't perform second half tonight. Coincidence?
Another thing to thank Serge for...

Sigh he was actually good going forward first half

if strikers are in a position to place a shot side foot its because they have time and space as you side foot for placement. So you would probably be expecting to save fewer than average

Loris had zero chance with any of the goals. Absolutely ridiculous to have a go at him for the scoreline

It would be extremely prudent to start looking for a new manager now. Poch deserves until Christmas to turn this around, but for me, then the goodwill runs out. No away win for nearly a year, humiliation in the Champions league, most goals conceded at home in our 137 year history, it is not acceptable!

Just got home, still can't quite believe what I saw. We didnt play horrendously but we were so defensively naive it's unreal. The high line was suicide and we could have been 1 nil down in the first minute due to a ball straight over the top which sadly became the theme of the night.

I'm not too sure what the answer is but one thing is painfully clear is that our defense is shot.

Fucking cowards but they're right to be ashamed of themselves.
Maybe Poch wanted them straight in, to give them a right royal bollocking.
It’s not true. I was in the south and players came over.

Most of our “support” had fucked off by then so maybe they missed it.

It is 1:45 and I have just arrived home! What an embarrassment!! First 20 mins we could have been 3-0 up with half decent finishing - they were super clinical coupled with our laughable defending every attack looked like they would score.

I remember Harry Redknapp touting Brendan Roger's as a future Tottenham coach, during his time at Swansea. I also heard Alan Brazil mention it last week. Looking at Leicester on Sunday, and us these past few months, it must be worth consideration, if Poch goes.
The other thing I noticed recently and evidently tonight, is that Poch has the look of someone who just does not care anymore and his heart is not in it. If that is so, he should man up and go

Remember the Poch who lost to Newcastle 5-1? The shame he so clearly felt and readily displayed?

Remember when Dier was in tears?

The fuck happened to that. Everything Poch says after shit like this is extremely reassuring but it's not backed up in any way by action.

@cooperfield and anyone else WTFing my Kane post. What part of his game has improved since he beat Salah to the golden boot? More goals? No. More assissts? No? Headed goals? Don't make me laugh. CL goals? No. When was he pivotal to a crucial win? He has stagnated. It's plain as day. Denial is a bitch though.
Think you make good points but come to the wrong conclusion. I have noticed Harry taking fewer shots this season and passing in places where I think he should have a go. And in his last two games he has presses and generally gotten about. But what is different is we don't have possession/control of the ball higher up as we used to have. All this chipping of the ball over the MF doesn't play to his strengths eith. And we don't even get the ball to CE in the hole as we used to do. Although harry has sneaky pace he really isn't going to trouble a backline in behind.

things may change with GLC's ball control/dribble in the hole. And we saw how penetrative quick MF passes can with Ndombele today. He played some balls that have never been played/CE could only wish he could hit. And they were played immediately as the player received the ball with an idea of what the field looked like behind him. GLC is similar ie a real MFer.

So, I don't think Harry has regressed but I do think we haven't played to his strengths because the team as a whole has regressed.

I thought we went to to toe with them in the first,I thought we were greatUktimately they had a ton more quality.
They were much too good for our backs.
Lewandowski was fantastic.
Dele was mediocre again.
Ndombele had a great first half ditto Sissoko and Winks had a good half.
They were too good.
