Yeah

And looking at it from the proper angle it's clear that he launched into Hojbjerg when he realised he lost the ball, when the incident happened the ball was in the process of being turned over, I can't believe anyone can actually defend this

Having seen that view, actually I am not now 50/50.
After their player passes the ball, Hjojbjerg make a conscious step to his right into the path of where their player is running.
That is a foul, he intentionally impedes the run

I hope Jose & coaching staffs from now on make the team practise these things...
  1. When attacking in box, try practising to head the balls from corners/free kicks and to opposition defenders hands instead of heading into net. We will have more chance of getting a penalty than heading into the net
  2. Practice volleyball. When attacking in box, handle the ball "inadvertently" and aim it to volley it to the defenders hands - as per the law when attackers do it, its not a pen and penalty only for defenders...

Hojbjerg did have intentions of blocking the run but Joelinton threw himself to the floor when he realised that his pass wouldn't make it, no decision should have been given there.

I mean it's a joke but it is heading that way now. Mane even 2 seasons ago in the CL final knew what he was doing vs Sissoko

Exactly and when Joelinton realises his pass is intercepted and no foul has been made by PEH, yet, he precipitates that by throwing himself at him.

I think an easy solution is to bring in indirect free kicks for unintentional yet still punishable handballs. The punishment just doesn't fit the crime at all.
Whatever happened to indirect free kicks?
Let’s throw them into the equation as well and if it’s not deliberate or accidental then that’s what they need to enforce.

Laughable.

Just because you don't understand the laws of football, and even when spelt out to you and copied from the FA website don't want to understand them, and I would suggest even if they were tattooed on your fucking head you still wouldn't does not make someone going out of their way telling you them and actually trying to educate you a bit into them, a troll.

I’ve heard it all now. Hojbjerg doesn’t block his run, he doesn’t move deliberately across him to block Joelinton, he stands his ground as he is entitled to do. Joelinton at 6ft 1, notices he has given the ball alway in a dangerous position for us to counter and seal dives into Hojbjerg. If anything the foul is the other way.

As regards the new handball rule. The rules state that leeway should be given if the ball ricochets against a player’s arm or if the player in question cannot see the ball. It’s very clear. Therefore the ref did not or should not have awarded the penalty.Carroll looked offside anyway.
I thought that VAR would have stopped players cheating by diving to get a penalty.
It has created a scenario whereby attackers deliberately hit the ball against a defenders arm.I am not saying Carroll did this but when he came on he was trying things.

Opinions, we were always advised the first thing to look out for when the law was obstruction was an unnecessary move in the opposite direction to where the ball was played, and backed up with a look at opponent whilst doing it, It ticks that,
Did Joelinton "buy the foul", sure, he could have avoided the contact, did Hjojbjerg give the referee (well actually probably the assistant as referee had followed ball) a decision to make, yes.
