It better be, we haven't qualified yet and its all on this game, Setanta or ITV would be foolish not to show it.

No sign of any uefa cup football on itv4, five or setanta.

We've been on tv a boatload this season and I'm starting to get it in the neck from my housemates anyway, so I'm happy with a stream.

As said yesterday this is the decider for us.

I think we could confidently talk about eating certain items of clothing were one of the channels not to pick it up.

ITV and Five are prob just haggling over money that's all

Its not on unfortunately. Looks like Spurs TV Online will be showing this one.

I have to say how dissapointed i am by this. ITV used to have all our home games in the UEFA Cup covered, but now they dont seem to show hardly any of our games. Between ITV, Channel 5 and Setanta i would have thought we'd be well covered in the UEFA Cup. I wonder if it has anything to do with where we finished last season.

Those who have asked the club have had responses saying that it's not on TV.

The club's response

It is an all too common misconception that the sale of live UEFA Cup matches is easy and that television companies are prepared to make exhorbitant outlays to cover such matches, especially in the current global economic climate. We have no divine right to be selected for coverage and conversely it is also the case that television companies can also make offers that we do not agree with, from either a financial or commercial perspective. The television companies are also very careful as to the content they place on their premium channels in order to cater for all their viewers and advertisers, especially if those channels have been saturated with European football coverage in recent weeks and months.

Regrettably, it is not always possible to strike a deal that we believe benefits both the club and the supporter who wishes to watch the match on television. We also need to take into consideration how any television coverage will affect the attendance on the night and then assess whether any monetary sum and exposure received would cover any potential loss on gate receipts. For example, one of the options offered by a TV company for an earlier tie was to have the match kick off at 18:00hrs which, as I am sure you can appreciate, would severely inconvenience the vast majority of those attending or thinking of attending the match on the night.

Our priority will always be to fill our Stadium. This benefits our team - first and foremost. It provides the Club with important ticketing revenue, which remains a key source of our income. A full stadium is also an important factor when it comes to securing future TV deals and fixture selections as TV companies prefer broadcasting from Clubs where they know the Stadium will be full and the atmosphere will be loud – and it goes without saying that TV revenue is also very important to all Clubs. High profile and regular TV coverage also attracts (and pleases) the Club’s sponsors who provide a further source of important revenue.

Therefore, in summary, it is very much in all our interests – the team, our fans, TV companies, sponsors, and the Club as a whole - for us to set out to maximise our live attendance at home games as a priority.
The revenue received for UEFA Cup coverage does not reach anywhere near the heights of those for the Champions League or FA Premier League and we have ensured we have covered both our revenue streams and UK audience by agreeing for the game to be covered live by the Russian market and in the UK via BBC Radio. There are, at the time of writing, still tickets available for the game next Thursday and we are exploring the viability of placing the match live on Spurs TV online.

Yep it's not on, I've seen others elsewhere mail the club and unfortunately those idiotic TV stations can't be assed to show it, they'd rather watch meaningless matches.

thanks for posting the club's response Howl - as I suspected it seems to be the case that the TV companies won't pay what we're asking for -

therefore the club is balancing TV revenue v gate revenue and other factors on both sides of the equation

whether we agree with the club or not is of course up to the individual
