Tottenham have been told that they need to prove to the UK government that their deal to send defender Davinson Sanchez to Russian club Spartak Moscow has not been funded by a source hit with sanctions due to the war in Ukraine.

Source: Daily Express

Fair enough request IMHO.

I can't see how this would be appealing for him, renowned for being racist out there, it wouldn't be an enjoyable experience for him.

I suspect they accepted the offer expecting no sale to happen but to signal a price for clubs who might be interested at that price but hadn’t bid. Are they supposed to call every club in Europe to let them know they could have Davison for 12 million?

Feel sorry for Davinson. He has been loyal and always tried his best for Spurs. He doesn’t want to go to Russia. Hope he can go where he wants.

Sanchez is a fairly decent CB who can play at a higher level than in Russia. He needs someone solid next to him, sure. But he's better than that and deserves better than that.

Levy snatched a player from a Ukrainian, Try doing business with Russian clubs, our DOF is banned for shady dealings and the owner is now in court for insider dealings, The karma is getting there.

But you still disagree that Sanchez deserves better?

Skill-wise he should be playing for our opponents today, from that view no he does not deserve any better, from a humanity view yes but that is not what our club is about clearly f

Short sighted from the board yet again. Everyone knew this was a bad idea just like everyone but the board knew Paratici was going to get banned.

Leaves a bad taste and opens us to ridicule once again. They have no brains at the top of the club

This offer should never have been entertained.

Also how shitty would it be that we got Solomon for free, arranged a friendly with Shaktar all proceeds going towards the war and then we go and accept a transfer offer for one of our players from a Moscow based club lol, only Spurs.

Club is run by arseholes. We really need new people at the top because the ethics and operational intelligence of these clowns leaves a lot to be desired.

Sanchez, I assume, would have no interest in moving there. Aside from moving to the capital of a war mongering terrorist state, their club financiers are mostly sanctioned and clubs banned from european competition. Really enticing.

If he doesn't want to go then I'd feel sorry for him if he stays at a club he was roundly booed so harshly by his own supporters.
