Then why would every single report at the time, including our official site, have him signing for 5 years from 2015? We don't announce the length including an optional extension. He's contracted until 2020.

Yeah, he swerved it completely. I guess if he's in the middle of negotiations then you might not want to declare long term commitment as it could weaken your hand. Or he just isn't going to sign a new deal.

Fucking journalists!!! So sick of the closed season & all the utter nutmuck written, worse than politicians! I watched a Sunday Supplement on SkySports a couple of weeks ago after the Swansea game, rather than congratulate, pat on the back, blow smoke up our arse all 4 of the toxic vipers spoke about who's going where & for how much (coz that's all other teams have to do now!!!) All I'm saying is I believe what Lyall is saying compared to Di Mazio as Toby is playing every week in an exciting team alongside 2 childhood friends and Eriksen who he spent a good few years with at Ajax he's worshipped by the fans. Levy had NEVER installed a buy out clause in any player we've ever had contract and is loved by the fans!
