I thought you can sign someone subject to a work permit being granted?

I guess the PL may not ratify the deal subject to work permit due to the court order. Maybe they would allow this on deadline day.

If deal all agreed and medical is ok however I'd like us to at least make a full agreement with PSG and Aurier and announce it, similar to Sanchez, to protect our position.

You'd think we'd have a case to get the deal agreed even if the paperwork was still a few weeks away, assuming we know the outcome is favourable.

according to #hotspur83 it's a DONE DEAL. Announcement later today following pre-match press conferance. Don't shoot the messenger.
That's the same guy who claimed 'Walker's replacement' (i.e. Aurier) was at Hotspur War yesterday when he was actually in France, so...

Is it possible that he was told he was having a medical and just assumed it must be there rather than in Paris ?

No idea though, just hoping i suppose. :)
If you're going to give the benefit of the doubt to him, then yes. But if that were me, I'd just own up to it. People would still give some credibility to knowing it was happening, and it's not the worst mistake to make.

Fake ITKs, in my experience at least, don't often call things with that level of certainty, because if it doesn't happen then it's easy for everyone to point it out. But then he could just be on the wind-up, so who knows.

What we do know is that he's had a medical with us. So while it's unlikely, it's not inconceivable that something could happen today. Afterall, we did have some ITK this morning about one deal being very close.

Fair enough, can't disagree with any of that. (y)

Well, we will find out later today if he's on the wind-up or not. If he really is in the country then I wonder if he would be considered for Burnley. It was reported that we were trying to get this done prior to the game.

What about that guy who said that Lamela wouldn't be able to sit down for a week back when we signed him. Not sure why I remember that...
