Just to tease you all, we were told about this when it was happening yesterday morning but asked not to leak it.

Obviously you have to take my word for it but it does mean we're now confident on another source :)

@Rob I'll take your word for it. But how the hell you have the fortitude to sit on something like that while seeing the mayhem on here is beyond med. I'd be a shit ITK cause I'd spill the beans in a heartbeat and get fired from wherever I worked.

The ITKs need to know they can trust us. We end up sitting on a lot that isn't made public but at the end oft he day it means this place can do what it does.

Definitely. And I think that this place is proof that they do trust you. (y) I wasn't questioning you, merely acknowledging exactly that, knowing how hard people have in keeping juicy secrets - myself included :sneaky:. Don't ever share anything with me in confidence ...

Graeme Bailey - Tottenham remain hopeful Serge Aurier deal will be done before Burnley match on Sunday. https://t.co/VKp7UZDu17 #thfc

Marc Benamram- Main source in France leading on the Aurier to #THFC story now claim that a deal may not be complete by deadline day due to permit issues.

Talk about conflicting info. Everything I can see from France is about completion of the medical though...

Cannot praise you and the team highly enough. This is the best site on the internet from my point of view; funny, tragic, informative, diverse, tolerant, utterly addictive.
The doctor thanks you all

Wonder if some kind of extension can be applied for, if all that's holding things up is the permit, and all the other work has been agreed?

The Gambling Times? o_O

Re the french source...was always likely to be the case. High chance this wouldn't happen.

L'Equipe this morning says that although his lawyers were initially very confident of him winning his appeal they still do not have the paperwork through. It further says that PSG is contemplating another option whereby he would sign for Juventus who would loan him out till January. Juventus cannot sign him straight away because they already have as many non EC players as allowed by the Italian FA.

It sounds worryingly as though this transfer has stalled.

Another statement in one of the other threads has already said the SA does not want to go on loan for 6 months before he can sign for Juve. And multiple statements that his appeal has been won. I think we have sit tight and take ITK word on this that it is close. ITK this summer has been very good.

This is all worst case scenario I reckon still think it will happen and we definitely need that position strengthened.

Aurier has binned the Juve option, the appeal was successful, the fee has been agreed, the player has agreed terms, the medical has been done and the paperwork is being processed, for what reason do people think this won't happen?

Because our psyches have been traumatised by transfer windows past.

Pardon the fact that I am acting like a Wally, but what prevents us from signing him pending issue of a work permit as we do with other players. Sounds like it will eventually be a formality.
