I'm hoping it will be safe standing first as they'll want lots of noise for the TV. But you just know there will be a huge corporate contingent. Wonder if they will demand the ID upload from them

This is the big question. London will most likely be Tier2 so it's 2,000 capacity. Do they go for the £350 corporate tickets or the £50 south stand tickets? The difference is £600,000 per game, so it's going to be hard for the club to opt for the South Stand. Being honest: if the club really does allocate the South Stand by lottery, they might well end up with a bunch of quiet idiots from the Paxton like me getting tickets - so they'll have a crap atmosphere and be £600k down from not having the corporates in. The club can't win here. I guess the only reasonable outcome is to either take the corporate tickets' money or to allocate the 2,000 seats in the south stand like an away game by loyalty points to make sure they get a good atmosphere in exchange for the £600k foregone corporate revenue. The season ticket holder lottery sounds like the worst of both worlds from the club's perspective.

I wouldn't hold it against the club if they start with corporate. I'd be disappointed, but it makes sense for the reasons you state

2000 people all socially split in a 60000 ground no way your getting any atmosphere -

If its going to be anything like the other countries it will be one stand open and distancing between groups - I doubt that they will open more than one area of the ground - not sure how they will sort out the groups issue certainly when you send in your id you don't mention other ticket holders unless they do it by membership groups

I saw one match from Europe a while ago and they had about 5000 in. All next to each other in one stand.

Maybe I’m just thick and don’t get it, but I couldn’t really believe what I was seeing.

It doesn't make sense to open the entire stadium and spread the 2,000 / 4,000 around the entire ground - they would need to have more matchday stewards, more bars open and stocked, more security...would cost more than it brings in.

So they are likely to pick one stand and have everyone come into that one place - that is likely to be either the south or east stands IMO. They could go corporate for the money, but it will be blatantly obvious on TV if there are no fans visible because they are all hidden away in boxes.

I don't think they will be able to open the boxes enclosed area and all that - I also doubt that the bars will be open and no alcohol would be my guess

Maybe they've been having corporates in the stadium the whole time, hiding in the enclosed boxes and filing the ticket revenue under "commercial" or "sponsorship" ?

It’ll be one of the long stands. That’s where social distancing will be easiest, plus everyone will end up with a great view. Nothing else makes sense.

Itll be the west stand no? or even east stand because thats where the camera focusses on... perhaps west for corporate and east for us mere peasants

Got sent a survey from Spurs about returning to the stadium.

It's getting closer...?

Anyone else?

I need to be eagle eyed about these things as dad just isn’t great these days on electronic communication so I end up doing these things for him, plus for some unbeknown reason some Spurs emails come to me but not others ?

Yeah, I got it too - just completed it. You have until Sunday to complete it, so it may not have landed in your inbox yet. And it's only sent to ST holders (I think). Can't remember if you are...?
