Boring isn't it...constantly scrolling through SC and socials reading about players we haven't signed on my day off? Not for me I like it...

Just a little office humour to lighten the mood

My mild optimism is waning considerably!

Productivity should at least go up as I suspect the new ITK thread will be a ghost town with Trix leaving and everything seeming tight lipped at the club.

Same mate i have genuinely had enough. Desperate for him to get out the club.
Yes Halle-fucking-lujah.

But the fact that you've posted that just proves you've known it was in the wrong thread, time and time and time again

One thing that has occurred to me since this morning is that Levy will really have nowhere to hide if we don't pull off a notable signing this month. Not just hiding from the fans (which will be very vocal in the stadium and elsewhere) but with Conte, who has already been vocal in the media.

Worryingly I think we might end up signing someone who we don't exactly need but is a big enough name to placate the above.

Surely today and early tomorrow is key if we are lining up other deals?

Cannot see anything happening of note in the last 48 hours of the window. By all accounts the club leaks are locked down after Diaz.

Whilst being linked to a good player would obviously change the mood you can understand the last thing the club want is another deal not coming to fruition in public (we'll aware there will be deals that don't happen all the time in the background).

If the Diaz deal has shown as anything it is we will put money down for the right player. I hope there is one available. ?

Think that's why links to Morata started. This would be the worst thing we could do.

The club need to back Conte not appease the fan base craving a big signing.

The ideal situation would be to kill two birds with one stone. Appease the fans and Conte. The one that scares me the most is Dembele, because I think he would be an amazing signing on paper in terms of role and fit to the system, but people will very quickly get on his back like they did with Ndombele IMO.

Past caring about transfer windows. Nothing has, and nothing will change while we have the approach of trying to get ridiculous top dollar fee for the shit we want to get rid of, but want to low ball for players that will clearly improve us.

Half a mind to go off on one in the ITK only thread, get a life time ban, and avoid the temptation of scrolling through page after page of the same circular arguments, promises of gold, and ending up with lead.

In reality there is a lot we still could/should be doing. Whether we are or not is anyone's guess.

For example, if in the last few days we:

- Paid £15m for Lewis-Potter
- Signed Tanner from Lewes
- Loaned Amrabat with an option to buy
- Loaned Morata for 6 months
- Signed Eriksen on a 6 month deal with an option for another year
- Announced deals to bring 1-2 out of contract players in at the end of the season (Dybala, Brozovic, Ginter, Tarkowski, Cantwell, Romagnoli, Lingard, Grillitsch, Isco, Modric, Perisic all still available)

That would be a reasonably decent window with very little outlay.

It can still be done, I just don't trust us to do it.

Half a mind? The whole of that thread hasn't got half a fucking mind combined so you're not fooling anyone with outlandish claims like that.

Really want be optimistic but think the general mood of anger is due to last xxx windows which have been so poor. Kind of get a more of an upbeat feeling from trix and Herc that maybe the transfers are being better dealt with by FP and gang an do hope Levy stays out of it but we have been burned so many times.

When this thread was made I voted levy out because I always had the harsh reality as my expectation. Unfortunately though in the back of my mind I had a small bit of optimism and once again I feel like I was let down just like the rest of us. It’s a shame we have clowns running our club.

No the issue is people like you believe everything you read so YOU BELIEVE that this was who we were linked to when we only probably wanted to sign 4-5 of these players.

Who the fuck is Wilfried Singo? Sick of the twitter memes people keep posting in here to take the piss out of the club.

I don't want to get into trouble by posting this in the ITK thread but could the midfield player mentioned by Dagon be Douglas Luiz? There was mention on the BBC site of an unnamed premier League club bidding for him.
