Ronaldinho anyone? (Ramos likes him for Spurs but still a way to go though)

Ronnie has the talent to be one of the greatest players ever but he seems to be unable to bear the burden of the big money and popularity and now is a shadow of the player he was before the WC 2006.

Perhaps we can help him get to his full potential by not offering him the big money then? We'd be doing him a favour

True he hasn't played so well but I would happily take an out of form player who scored 21 goals in 35 league games last season (after WC 2006) and is scoring at a rate of 1 in 2 this season (after WC 2006). OK he isn't what he was, possibly because he eased up and got too comfortable, but he is still world class just maybe not far and away the best in the world as he was before.

Perhaps we could offer to save his wages up in a nice savers account for him. Of course with the catch that if he goes a pound above 13 stone we keep the lot.

Hutton Woodgate King Gilberto
Bentley Hudd Gattuso Ronaldinho
Berbatov Keane

......hehe, yes please....

Absolutely. We may be able to afford £12m (and there's no way in hell he'll go that cheaply!), but his wages will be massive. The Milans and Chelskis of this world will offer far more than us, plus CL footy.

We will not sign Ronaldinho.

Your missing something though?......

He might just fancy it!

Ronnie may, as has been recently been pointed out, see a move to WHL, as a 'challenge' and with a top class manager too. That said, I would find it unlikely that he want's to wind down his career in mid table England....even if it was at the home of WORLD Football...There can be no greater 'thrill' than scoring at WHL?

It's not as crazy as it sounds, we really have to look at the ambition we have as club and also realise what a massive attraction having Ramos as a manger is.

Ronaldinho will leave Barcelona this summer, that is for sure.

So who then would he go to, the only clubs i think are likely are:

Spain

Sevilla - Not much chance with the way this season has gone since Ramos left

Real Madrid - Can't see it happening, Real buying their rivals
misfits.

Italy

AC Milan - Doubt it, ok they like their Brazilians but with Kaka in the team already i can't see where he would fit.

Inter - Most likely destination for him, but they have an abundance of midfielders right now.

Juventus - Second most likely destination, but they haven't been buying big name players like this since their relegation.

England

Man Utd - No chance

Chelsea - Perhaps if the money is they key issue on his mind, but how many big names have failed to make it after moving to Stanford Bridge - got to be a worry for him.

Livepool - Again doubt it, both from their perspective and his

Arsenal - Maybe, and would be following the footsteps of a few of his country men, let's hope that Arsene isn't interested

France

Lyon - Again doubtful given their abundance of great young attacking players right now.

Germany

Bayern Munich - Doubtful as Bundesliga is a step back from La Liga.

Brazil

Sao Paulo - Possible as they are trying to lure great Brazilian players back to Brazil, if he is homesick and not too worried about the money it's possible.

So that gives Spurs a shouting chance, based mostly on our Cup win, our qualification for UEFA cup next season (yes of course he would prefer CL) and Mr Ramos.

But realistically i'd say he's off to Italy.

Lets just say that 12, mil mentioned is the correct fee, We could then offer him 50k a week plus 7 mill Squid signing on fee, 3 year contract....gives him approx 100 grand a week, and if that aint enough, well bugger it then, mind you I think we(spurs) would probably make that all back in the 1st week of shirt sales

There must be 1000s of Ronaldinhos in Brazil (it means little Ronaldo); he might mean a different one :shifty:

Spain

Real Madrid - Can't see it happening, Real buying their rivals
misfits. They've done it beforre. Those 2 love swappng players

Italy

AC Milan - Doubt it, ok they like their Brazilians but with Kaka in the team already i can't see where he would fit. Move Kaka up front with Pato, Ronnie into the hole. Sell Inzaghi and use Gilardino on the bench.

Inter - Most likely destination for him, but they have an abundance of midfielders right now. Any player going to Inter would expect to have loads of competion.

Juventus - Second most likely destination, but they haven't been buying big name players like this since their relegation. "Apparently" Juve are buying big this summer to fund a serious Serie A challenge and their CL run.

England

Man Utd - No chance Agreed

Chelsea - Perhaps if the money is they key issue on his mind, but how many big names have failed to make it after moving to Stanford Bridge - got to be a worry for him. I can see it happening but if it does I hope we rush in with bids for Malouda and J.Cole

Livepool - Again doubt it, both from their perspective and his Babel has done okay but not set the world alight, not likely but possible

Arsenal - Maybe, and would be following the footsteps of a few of his country men, let's hope that Arsene isn't interested. Too old apparently ;-)

France

Lyon - Again doubtful given their abundance of great young attacking players right now. Backstepping?

Germany

Bayern Munich - Doubtful as Bundesliga is a step back from La Liga. Not so much. Munich are winners (almost every season, this could happen)

Brazil

Sao Paulo - Possible as they are trying to lure great Brazilian players back to Brazil, if he is homesick and not too worried about the money it's possible. Not old enough

But realistically i'd say he's off to Italy.

I agree with the last line too
