Ronaldinho anyone? (Ramos likes him for Spurs but still a way to go though)

Yea you idiots we never sign good players, like Ginola, Klinnsman, Davids, Berbs,....oh wait....never say neveer...

Firstly there is no need to call people idiots over this situation.

Futhermore the examples you mention are not really on the same level to the suggestion that we could sign Ronaldhino.

Ginola was deemed Despendable by Newcastle and we basically plucked him from their reserves, he went on to revive his career with us.

Klinnsmann is the best example of those you select because he was a massive transfer coup. However his career had tailed off somewhat and he had only just made his name big again from his exploits in the world cup in 94.
Plus this was before the CL caused a huge gulf of attraction power between the haves and have nots (those with CL football to offer etc)

Also please note that he stayed for one year, made himself an elite star on the European scene and promptly fu*ked off to a bigger club.

Davids was a spent force, not that disimilar to the big stars who move to Qutar for one last pay day trading off the star they used to be. Sure he did a good job for us at first, but ultimatley he was no longer wanted by the elite clubs so its not like we had to compete with the CL sides for his signature (remember the year before when we did and we lost?)

Berbatov was little known at the time, certainly nothing like the big star he is now and although Man U showed an interest in him it was more to become a squad player and we were offering a starring role, again we were not really competing with the CL teams for his signing.

The differnce here is that as and when Ronaldhino becomes availble, the likes of Chelsea, Man U and no doubt the Milan teams will also want him and we would find it very hard to beat them in as far as convincing him to come to us.

So while you may still feel we can sign him, I certainly dont think it is unreasonable for people to suggest it is highly unlikey and by no means should you refer to us as idiots for doing so, especially when the article never even indicates that Ramos is actually looking to sign him.

Waggle it around like a stick in a bucket. :hump:

I apologise Miss Alba, if you're reading this, I love you.

You should be ashamed of yourself, she only came in here to work out whether she should get Ronaldinho on the back of her Spurs top or not :snooty:

I've been reading too much of the Swamp Donkey thread - I thought she'd love it if I slated her.

For every one we sign we are linked to 50.

and 1/1000 of them scribble a hand written letter saying they are sorry but have chosen to join Olympiakos.

Tottenham "meh:shrug:" Hotspur FC

Absolutely. We may be able to afford £12m (and there's no way in hell he'll go that cheaply!), but his wages will be massive. The Milans and Chelskis of this world will offer far more than us, plus CL footy.

We will not sign Ronaldinho.

Hoddle compounded our embarrassment no end by talking about that damn letter.

berbatov for ronnie plus 15m our way could be a possibility. I think Ronaldinho is one of the very few players that wold definitely soften the departure of berba. I might have to change my team and put in ronaldinho instead f quaresma!!

Surely he was just asked would you like Ronaldinho at Spurs and he just said yeah. Ronni will leave Barca but there will not be that many clubs after him unlike 2 years ago when he could have gone anywhere. If he can turn it around he is the best in the world but i doubt he will which is a massive shame, one of my fav players.

Ronnie has the talent to be one of the greatest players ever but he seems to be unable to bear the burden of the big money and popularity and now is a shadow of the player he was before the WC 2006.
