Does anyone know which paper was carrying the report regarding Redknapp.

It stated that Levy is lookin to out him in the summer, as he is not too impressed.

Supposedly the foreign players are unappy that we wont be in Europe next season, and Levy does not think we will qualify under Redknapp.

Redknapp himself is said to be unhappy, mainly with the critisism directed at him from fans and the press. He is also looking at flogging Modric (take with a pinch of salt)

Once he saves us from the drop, the paper says he will leave.

Can anyone think wich paper this was, and if so who takes over

Oh for fuck sake, I seriously hope this isn't true!!

Just supposing it is, when are Levy and co. going to realise that we need stability as a matter of urgency? Kicking managers out when the going gets tough is not the way forward.

We're doing better now that we were under Ramos.

What a load of shit. If it even was in a paper i guarantee it's a gash one.

Seriously, why would we get rid of him if he keeps us up? He would have earnt next season at least. We lost a cup final on penalties to United which is no shame. Levy has given him bundles of cash to build a squad and I couldn't give a toss if the foreign players were unhappy. Only ones who are worth keeping are Palacios and Cudicini and they signed knowing damn well we wouldnt be in Europe next year. Corluka possibly deserves to stay but Modric hasn't done enough for my liking so wouldn't bother me if he left for top money.

Levy knows what Harry can do and he proved that with a Pompey team he built from scratch and got into Europe. With a better squad at spurs, more money and a decent pre-season we will be top 6 next season.

All this Harry knocking is ridiculous, he hasn't done anything wrong apart from try to sort out shit team out. And as time goes by he is. I know he goes on about this '2 points from 8 games' stuff but its true. We were right up shit creek and now we are 4 wins away from safety.

Sort it out guys!

Not much better. It started good but that happens whenever a new manager comes in.

There is a certain degree of negativity with harry, wembley excluded.

Anyway this aint anothe harry bashing thread!

On the whole, Harry has done a good job.

The problem with 80% of Spurs fans is that, if we don't get success overnight, they expect us to sack the manager off and start from scratch - stability IS the way forward.

We should all be getting behind Harry and the boys rather than criticising every move they make.

I don't see how Europe unless it's the CL is considered that important to players. Surely the lure of the EPL is greater than that of a competition in the Europa League (UEFA Cup) that has gone way downhill in recent years.

This is a LOB
Someone has said that Harry is negative, he isn't negative hes a 'kin realist that doesn't sugarcoat every comment and treat our players like a bunch of superstars. He tells it as he sees it, the only critisism you can have is that he tells it a bit too often.
It might be good to not be in Europe next year, saves us signing all the Champions League wannabee's and maybe get some good genuine players.
As for our Foriegners I disagree, Modric, Corluka, Wilson and Cuda have all be good this year (im willing to give Pav another year but ithink his lack of control will hinder him in England).
Give Harry what he wants, his major signings are Defoe, Keane and Wilson who are a damn sight better than most of what we have had.
Next year is the year of the Redknapp.
While im at it why dont we get rid of one of Harry's 40 assistants and give Jamie a job. Hes pretty much working pro-bono for us at the momo.

I dont believe the players being unhappy about not playing the Uefa (Europa) Cup next year, but unfortunately, I can see Levy not sticking with Redknapp, and getting rid of him as soon as we're in the clear, or at most the end of the season. Which is partly where our problems lie, the other problem is now gone, ahem Damien..

None of our past 3 managers have done anything wrong, apart from not work well with the Director of football - therefore not getting the players they want and being stabbed in the back, except Jol and Frank's far too brief run together.. Frank screwed Santini over, make no mistake about that, he wanted Jol as Manager here..Basically, Chelsea screwed us over, we then screwed ourselves, and by getting rid of Harry, we'd be doing it again... I mean, ffs, he's sorted out 2 (nearly 3!!) of our major problems over the past few years (GK, DM, and he tried to get Quaresma to play left, but has had to put Modric out there, which is working), in 7 months or whatever.

Give him a break, keep him here till he gets us as far as he thinks he can take us, let Clive Allen learn from him, then make Clive The Boss, he's doing a great job at the club for us.

How anybody can possibly want years of hr is beyond me. I don't hate him or anything I just don't think he is a great manager or the right manager for spurs. Stability is great but you do need to find the right man, unfortunately we had him in martin jol and were too stupid to realise it!

With Harry there will only ever be "now", not tomorrow, when he has had enough or retires which will be sooner rather than later we will be back to square 1 anyway. Why not let him keep us up and start from scratch now with a young and hungry manager who might be able to stay for 5 years or so?

Were not even clear of relegation yet, and some are already looking for the next flavour of the month to manage us. After Harry has got us clear of relegation that is. Let Harry do the hard bit. If we go down it's all down to him. If we stay up, It's time to ditch him because he cannot take us to where we want to be. This can only be Tottenham Hotspur.

I think Harry has already said that he will leave when he makes Spurs a top side - top 4 at least!
Up to now I am more than happy with the job he has done and I think the players are starting to understand exactly what he wants from them on the pitch.

I can imagine there is a ring of truth to this report. Levy can't be happy in the direction the club is going in and its obvious that Redknapp is a short term solution. He will not get us to the top four or get us qualified for Europe but he will stop us from being relegated,

I love how everyone says Harry cant take us to the top, Harry cant get us into the CL.

How the fuck do you people know that? He's never had a squad this talented, or the money he will get at spurs, so he cannot be judged on past jobs.

The fact that he got Pompey into the UEFA Cup with their squad and money is the most telling factor. He now has an infinitely better squad and a shedload more cash to play with, not to mention the fanbase, facilities, etc. So who says he wont be able to get us into the top 4???

there will be a shitload of links if redknapp can keep us up.

roberto martinez, roy keane, mark hughes, martin jol should all be realistic and imo worthy names to be banded around in may/june

Harry is the right man for the job. He has his piorities straight playing down certain competitions we were in and lowing expectations this season (don't think if were still in prem he'd be saying the same things next if all goes well) the majority of Spurs fan probabley dont like the fact we play basically a B team in europe but it was the right thing to do. The league is where this club should concentrate fully upon, in by gone days the cups were great to have on your CV but football has changed since the premier ship was introduced.

Redknapp with the backing of the board finanically during the close season has an eye for players and will make specific buys that will benefit the team..eg Palaciso, Chimbonda, Defoe, Keane and not so much on resale value which we got caught up with and lost track.
