I'm reading a lot of love for Rose because of his "attitude". That's great, but a couple of weeks ago I pointed out his constant inability to stop crosses coming in from his side (I remember it because I said it's the one thing Walker does better than him) and he once again stood too far off Bacuna and allowed him to make an easy cross. So I'm loving that you are all appreciating Rose's chippy up and at em approach, but it would be lovely if he hadn't contributed so heavily to the winning goal.

I've never rated Rose as high as some here have. And at the same time I have to admit that at some games he has been great. But what bothers me is that IMO he is too weak defensively and at the same time he is good going forward. I'm starting to think that he is like Bale was. Bale started as LB and at least IMO he was too weak in defending. Then he was "transferred" as LW and started to be more than vital for our attacking game. Perhaps we should do the same with Rose, play him as LM/LW and let Davies do the defending on the left side.

Rose was good. Everyone else was shit. Townsend(surprise, surprise) and Chiriches were especially shit. Eriksen has been poor for a while too.

Lamela, yet again, managed to create some and try to do stuff in the 10 minutes he played. Fucking mind boggling that Townsend is favored over him.

The team looked best this year when Lamela, Dembele, Eriksen made up the AM3. Probably because it was more of a 433, and they actually were able to implement Poch's philosophy. Poch created this massive fuckery of the last 2 months himself by changing the team.

What a game for my 9yrs old lads first at WHL , we were poor from start to finish , we made villa who are awful btw look good.As an earlier poster said , vlad is stealing a living as a footballer and he's not alone you can Chadli and Townsend to the list and ps danny rose was excellent my motm

Rose is stil poor don't get caught in the hype like everyone else. He only looks good because everyone one else look so bad. His crossing still needs to improve by a lot and he needs to stop giving away pointless free kicks. His defending has got better but not by that much l.

A few of us knew this from the start and didn't get caught up in the hype. Very limited ability in the DMF position

His second touch is a sliding tackle.. Also appears to be always tripping over his feet.. Limited is a compliment

Rose was absolutely class and I think it is very very harsh to blame him for their goal.

It was a shocking all-round performance I really can't quite believe how bad we were, horrible game to have been at.

Vorm - 6 Not loads to do did ok i suppose.

Chiriches - 4 Out of position but really poor in so many ways
Dier - 5 Bullied. Young but still a few gaps in his game
Fazio 6 Not a bad game but Benteke just about got the better of him
Rose - 9 Outstanding

Mason - 6 Him and Bentaleb are a bit off form but really the 3 in front need to step up
Bentaleb -6 See Mason

Eriksen 4 - Never seen him play so badly and he's probably my favourite player, shame.
Chadli 5 - Ineffective as usual, a few good runs. WHY did Potch play him and Townsend RWF?
Townsend 5 Same old

Kane 6 No real service 4 defenders around him, marked out the game

Potch 4 Beaten at home by Dim Tim and the boys? Why has he dropped Dembele? I like Potch and want to get behind him but some of his selections are starting to worry me. Also why were Chadli AND Townsend both RWF Rose was on his own which seemed strange as he's a great attacking option so surely 2 on that side would make sense. That is season over or me after today nothing to play for, shame.

I can't work Poch out he plays people, then he doesn't, then he plays them, then he doesn't. It seems like he pays no attention to form or what he sees on the pitch his game is all about his tactics and how he sees things working out in his mind. A little reality check would be a good thing.

As for Lamela I feel sorry for the guy who seems to always try so hard but what can you do in ten minutes here and there. Sure if we are winning, ripping sides apart but Lamela has the ability to make a difference and quite frankly few in our squad do

Pochettino is on a long slow learning curve. Don't leave it too long Mauricio or you could be replaced by Timothy Sherwood.

Townsend...5.........On a one man mission. Unfortunately not to the moon. Expectorate.
Eriksen.......6.........All that talent. What a waste.Expectations being lowered as we speak.
Chadli.........6.........Almost better but not quite.Must be a first class trainer.
Harry...........6........Trying to do too much. Why on earth is he captain. Bad reflection on the rest. England expects but so do ..............................Spurs

Lamela.......At least you notice him when he finally gets on. Now that it doesn't matter would like to see him start.
Yedlin.........Promising if brief debut. Passed to a white shirt several times. He'll learn. Expectations raised.
Soldado......Shows signs of a football brain which will be his Spurs downfall.

Feel a bit cheated by recent events. Next season, next season. Can see another summer of churning and upheaval
and another transitional season. Not seeing significant progress and time is not on my side these days.

The reason Rose is a LB now is because he didn't make it as a Left winger.
