We should have won this even with the eleven who started as Palace were not that good. We beat our own selves I am afraid. Sloppy 1st goal and brain fart from KWP.

Llorente LOL!

Ward my MOTM

Foyth by far and away the MOTM. He really is a good player and such a shame that we haven't bought potential like him since.

Such a piss poor performance from everyone else today (especially Trippier) though Lamela was ok in 2nd half. Mistakes by KWP and Sanchez cost us 2 goals.

I know Poch will get slated today but I don't think he had much choice with the injuries and another game on Wednesday. One thing for certain, we need to get a couple in otherwise we can kiss top 4 goodbye.

GET THE FUCKING WALLET OUT LEVY!!

Foyth was brilliant, so MOTM for me. Lamela did well when came on as well.

Although I'm starting to get concerned about Sanchez and the mistakes he's making considering Toby will be gone come next season.

You know it’s bad when a large family stack of dishes to wash is more enticing. Despite his clusterfuckery for the penalty, hope KWP gets a chance on the right where he can actually cross. Tripps was Labrador shit today, compared to his recent Spaniel shit

Only one man can be considered, well played Foyth.
Wtf has happened the Sanchez lately? Dier is so out of his depth at this level

Poch is not blameless. He kept on Llorente even though he was missing sitters. Should have brought on Sterling earlier. He also should have a started Lamela ahead of NKoudou. So no, he also contributed to this mess and should be called out for it as well

Gazza 6
Trippier 3 - I really hope we do not see him in a spurs shirt for quite a few weeks and that he realises he is not a reincarnation of David Beckham.
Foyth 6
Sanchez 5
Verts 6
KWP 5 - No point playing him at LB as he cannot use his left foot. Really stupid penalty conceded. Offered nothing going forwards.
Dier 5
Skipp 6.5
N'Koudou 4 - Really pathetic attempts to score a sitter for the free kick first half. Don;t pull off to the back post if you do not want the ball and he looked like he shat himself when it came to him. Shame as that lucky cross against Fulham may have convinced some mug club to take a punt on him.
Moura 6 - Tries too hgard almost and just goes from one heavy touch 50-50 to another. Surprised he doesn't get more hurt.
Llorente 3 - He' supposed to be good in the air. Apparently. Watching this you'd never have guessed as none of his team mates wanted to cross to him, and when the ball did go near him in the air he got nowhere near it.

Lamela 6
Wanyama 5
Sterling n/a - came on too late.

Poch 5

Second London Derby Cup game in 4 days where the players did not show up until we'd conceded twice.

You give Trippier 6 along with the likes of Lamela Verts and Sanchez who all had better games, and only gave Lucas 4, right LOL.

You also rated Sterling who wasnt even on for 5 minutes and rated him the same as Llorente who was abysmal. Seriously? Sterling should be rated NET

Trying to give rates. Not so easy in that mess though. Dont shoot the messenger :D

Gazzaniga - 6 - could maybe do a bit better for the first but otherwise solid enough. Not his fault.

KWP - 6 - Offered on his false side so much more than GKN. The handball was a bit shitty but just deserves a fair run of games on the right instead of the underperforming Tripps
Foyth - 7 - some misplaced passes otherwise looked pretty composed and clearly more solid than Davinson
Vertonghen - 6 - okay
Davinson - 4 - too passive for the first goal and otherwise rather shaky. Nothing new this season though
Trippier - 4 - believes his own hype too much. Just not good enough...

Dier - 5 - looked not really interested
Skipp - 5,5- Poor boy not his fault we havent any other options in cm

NKoudou - 1 - joke of a player. Was lost for words after his attempt to score after the freekick. That is how he earns his money
Lucas - 6 - hm, feel sorry for him with the players around. But didnt do too much either

Llorente - 5 - cant blame him too much. Still think another type of striker would have contributed more.

Lamela - 6 - very involved but unlucky and frustrating as hell with his non existent right foot. Points for effort.
Wanyama - 6 - whatever
Sterling - did he touch the ball?

Poch threw it away with the starting line up. No one in the line up with any form or ability to control a game and keep control in difficult areas to create anything.
Again I do not like his substitutions. Would have thrown Rose and Winksy on after 60 minutes but by then Poch decided its a friendly and we use it to give Wanyama minutes, who surely wouldnt help a single bit to turn anything around.
another season without a cup (most likely)...frustrating...

Apart from pen miss some of our best chances cane from trippier so yes a 6

I don't recall Lucas doing anything but fall over

Sterling was on for 15 minutes and had zero impact not 5 mins . Is 15 minutes not enough time for a rating lol

Anyway my opinion, if you don't like don't agree couldn't care less

Sliding scale of shitness.

From Foyth to Moura at the top to most of the others stinking up the place at the bottom.

looked like a mid table Championship side for most of that game.

I criticised Poch during the week for the performance, but today the result was mostly on the players. I have a few small criticism of the way we play 343 in the first half, but you can't legislate for the two errors for the goals we conceded. Palace created very little throughout the game and we should have scored a couple. It is worrying though that we've started games poorly over the last four games and have had to change formation in three out of the four at half time.

Gazzaniga 6 - Probably could have dealt with the first better.

Trippier 6 - Other than the penalty miss he wasn't bad. Probably our most inventive passer out there. But he's the scapegoat atm so will probably get most of people's ire today.
Foyth 8 - Great one-on-one. Good with the ball for the most part. Really hope he can continue to improve because he's looking like a great prospect.
Sanchez 5 - Caught out badly for the first. I can't put my finger on it but there's something about him that's making me nervous when he around the ball.
Vertonghen 6 - Nothing to say, really.
KWP 5 - He clearly isn't a left back or left wing back and offers nothing going forward there. Please stop playing him there. It's not fair and will kill his confidence. That being said, his handball was inexcusable.

Skipp 6 - Was above average without the ball but below average with it. Him and Dier/Wanyama didn't work together.
Dier 6 - I don't think he played bad, but I do think he's redundant with a back three behind. As above, the balance just wasn't right with Skipp. Was a bit better in the second when we went to a back four.

Lucas 6 - A lot more involved than he is normally. I don't like him as a playmaking No.10. I wish he run the channels and make more diagonal runs.
N'Koudou 5 - The balance with KWP wasn't right and he missed a great chance in the first half. I don't know why but he's afraid to take the ball on his left side.

Llorente 6 - He didn't get great service, but he had some nice link up play. We looked afraid to cross the ball to him.

Lamela 6 - Tough one to judge. He aided in our build up play, but when he himself got the ball within 30 yards of the goal he invariable lost it or had unthreatening attempts. If only he has some pace, or strength, or could keep the ball when people are close to him, or could control a bouncing ball, or get onto a pass that's played a yard away from him.
Wanyama 5 - Gave it away a bit. Hard to be too harsh when he's barely played in two years.
Sterling N/A

Gazza - 6: not much to do; can’t fault him too much on first goal, just poor defending.

Trippier - 3: spectacularly bad in every aspect.
Foyth - 6: showed a bit of class every now and then and kept breaking up their attacks after damage was done.
Sanchez - 5: sloppy, slow, not a great game at all. lucky not to see red imo.
Vertonghen - 5: nothing notable - subbed with Watford in mind.
KWP - 4: brainless

Skipp - 5: presented himself well but not much he can offer in that kind of game alongside...
Dier - 5: pretty bad - lazy and disinterested. maybe still coming back to fitness

N’Koudou - 3: just an awful, awful player
Moura - 6: our best player with Foyth. tried to take them all on at points. a useful outlet but he needs to be so much more ruthless in the box.

Llorente - 4: I mean...

Lamela - 5: doesn’t seem to do anything
Wanyama - NA
Sterling - NA

I went ‘None Deserved’ because that was a truly terrible match.

But onto Watford. :)

Not that often I bother but some general musings.

We weren't as bad as some people are gagging to make out. On another day N'Koudou and Trippier both score.

Tripper also wasn't as bad as some people really REALLY like to make out, I'm not saying he was outstanding but he did OK.

Skipp was out of his depth.

I thought Foyth played well

Sanchez continues to make silly mistakes and his passing really needs to sharpen up.

Moura flatters to deceive. Again.

Llorente wasn't by any means excellent but if you don't play to his strength he's going to look anonymous. Despite that he tried.

KWP recovered from a horrific mistake to play quite well actually but nevertheless a poor error which we hope he'll learn from. Go easy on him, there's a decent player in there.

Also, according to the site knees, we should sack Pochettino. Seriously, you couldn't make it up. We're in the middle of the biggest injury crisis I can remember for absolutely years and we've 'sunk to a new low'. oh Boo-hoo.
