Motm:
0-90 mins : eriksen
90-97 mins: sissoko

Full credit to our defense to stop zaha with some hard tackles, and benteke was almost invisible today. It is a hugh success given that he was excellent last sunday against liverpool

I've been a critic of Eriksen all season because I rate him so so highly, but today.....he was immense. Would be 10/10 but with the goal it's 11

Eriksen brill,

also impressed with Davies and to a lesser extent Sissoko!

Good changes by Poch, Sons width created more space for Dele

Palace run out of steam

Sad to see Townsend going down before the contact just like Moses and again the pundits don't see it

I don't remember Sissoko being a donkey even once.

Okay I remember him being a donkey once. But that's still incredibly good by his standards. Top man! (y)

This was a bloody hard game away to a good side on good form. They've recently beaten Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Spurs of old would have lost this game every time. Not this Spurs. It was a hard slog, we started clearly without our usual zip and confidence but we grew into the game, dominated it and, even with a wonder goal, deserves the victory.

Lloris didn't have a real save to make so not much comment to pass on him.

Alderweireld improved but I though he was sloppy first half.

Dier was okay at centre back, interesting to see him put central with Toby moved wide, and he was pretty good in midfield and marshalled things well.

Vertonghen was unflappable as he has been all season, another flawless performance.

Walker got a stupid booking but he bombed forward well and even put in a couple of dangerous crosses. Struggled with Zaha.

Wanyama lost his head a bit today and thankfully he survived long enough to be subbed.

Dembele was doing fine first half but he was receiving brutal treatment, not protection from the ref and clearly couldn't continue. Hope he's fit for the scum.

Davies was okay in both directions. Couple of iffy clearances aside he did enough and at least gave us balance.

Eriksen, not just because of his splendid goal, was our best player. Everything went through him going forward, defensively he made several interceptions and he ensured we dominated the second half.

Dele had a poor first half and couldn't seem to make a good decision. Second half in the deeper role he did a really mature job, kept play ticking over and used his strength well to ensure our midfield didn't get bullied.

Kane didn't even have a half chance today, he worked tirelessly to drag our play into the box and it was his refusal to be robbed of the ball that allowed Eriksen to receive it with time and space to hit our winner.

Sissoko did his job well, protected a shaky Walker and was quicker than usual to use the ball. He was a good outlet.

Son was erratic but he gave us some dynamism and helped put them on the back foot. Not overly involved but still had an impact.

Pochettino made the right changes (though I'm sure we all cursed the sight of Sissoko), he adjusted our tactics to the task at hand and he sent the boys out with a clearly more positive attitude in the second half.

Very, very good today, and he absolutely deserves the mention. Some extremely critical defending from him.

Unfortunately for Jan, his former Ajax teammate in the midfield was flat out sublime today, in every way. Wonderful performances from the both of them though.

Think this one is going to be a walkover.
Eriksen superb again,

Oh yes you did.

Shout out to Sissoko. Killed the Zaha threat and was efficient when in possession. He kept things simple helping Eriksen get on the ball and think was a big reason why we improved after half time. Been a pants signing but that was clearly a minimum 7/10 performance.

He showed decent strength and did fine on and off the ball.

Not sure what you're on about about being a critic of Eriksen either. Nobody's perfect and a lot of his work is cleverly keeping the ball moving, intelligently engaging different players as others regain their breath, exploring angles. Perhaps he could be more spectacular, there's more to come, but I'll take him just the way he is now

To be a critic of Eriksen you must rate him Messi level. Only Hazard is above him of players of his ilk in this league. He's been sensational these last 4/5 months.

A hard fought battle, and a good result to help us refocus on the race.

Yah would be Eriksen automatically but voted Jan. He keeps showing up game in game out - consider he was out a few weeks but never seem to miss a bit...he just amazes me every time I see him play.

Sissoko was so useful today, and I imagine he'll have a role to play for games like this in the next few games; regardless of how much we over payed for him, he's a very good tactical piece to have as long as we use him correctly.

Form team at home really had nothing except individuals. Important win after Chelsea
and good preparation for the weekend.

Lloris 0.........unused keeper
Walker.......6.........Struggled today. Erratic and discomposed by both wingers
Dier...........7..........Sound wherever he played.
Toby...........6+........Not quite right especially long balls, once his specialty.
Verts..........8..........Stepping up from second violin these days.
Davies.......6+.......OK. Didn't do anything silly
Wanyama..6..........Subbed in time. Wayward and looked lost.
Dembele....6..........Lost the ball several times before his injury.
Eriksen.......9.........Held it all together and scored a beauty.
Dele...........6+........Better second half.but not at his best.
Kane..........7+........Worked hard against a 10 man defence..

Sissoko......6..........Given a job and did it.
Son............6.......... Infuriatingly himself.

Ground it out. Sign of a good team for anybody else.
First half awful, no zip or urgency. Sorted second half. Did they tire?

Did Andros not come our for the second half.
Talked up Benteke but he looked very ordinary.
Zaha lively and might be a good buy, or good hello if we get him
