So: run like maniacs to beat Everton.
Run like hell despite being 2 down against Chelsea
Have no legs for Palace
Is how it looked to me. Poch has yet to prove he can cope with 3 games in a week & this was a classic example. The fast press is tiring & a few looked out on their feet today. I guess if we'd have got a point against Everton lost at Chelsea & won handsomely today, we'd all be singing,
With the squad in a kind of weird flux due to injuries and 'injuries', the next team put out will be interesting. We've a ton of games coming up and suddenly are not overblessed with choices.
Individual additions, trying not to just repeat others.
Fazio is an absolute find.
I thought he had a great game; he literally headed everything & was composed throughout and the numbers back that up. In a young team, his solidity and experience is absolutely what we need, but whilst there are areas of defence that are settling down, the attack is still misfiring.
Credit Poch: his substitutions are smart, he knows as well as we do who isn't doing it & Lamela, Mason and Soldado can have no complaints at their replacement. I'm becoming sceptical whether Mason is gonna last out, he's been very lightweight this last week & it's still a problem position. Paulinho has to be pushing him close for the start,, even if not seemingly fancied by the coach or most of the fans!
