Lucas, I have to say, while always a dangerous player, really can't pass. And Son made some shockers too. They heaped on the pressure, but we helped them at times too.

Sanchez and Tanganga, because they're young, play at least one horror pass a match and they did today but weren't punished. I like them both a lot, I'm not getting at them. Loris also has a brainfart most matches.

I'm not trying to be negative, just saying there's a lot of room for improvement.

We defended well today but they were wasteful and we need to tighten up.

I love Ndombele but my god he looks unfit. The way he strolls round the pitch looks like he's just come out of a pie eating contest.

Completely agree with you - about 90% of the time his passing is shite - but he does pick out the occasional brilliant one. His little clipped pass for Stevie's goal was one of the passes of the game and he put an amazing through ball to Son in a recent match too.

Will the real Harry Winks please stand up...it goes to show partnered correctly Winks is a great player imo.

Lo Celso is class in a glass and his partnership with Winks works a treat. Ndombele will be getting worried by this imo and will have to improve his durability.

I felt all the players did well considering we has to defend a lot. Bergwijn scoring on his debut was fairytale stuff it was a great result my only concern was our lack of control. I would eventually like us to be more dominate in games.

Winks is also one of those players who shows how good he is against really strong opposition. He's always had stellar games against Real Madrid, Man City, etc. He needs a bit of room, or rather time, to work Negative opposition can shut down his distribution, but where the other side reckons it can win the game, there's a bit more room and an extra split-second for him to select a pass.

So many times recently, he's received the ball and dwelt upon it because no one in front of him could get any space to receive it. Obviously, after Man City were missing a player this afternoon, there was plenty more space and he exploited it with class, but he was finding passes even before that.

He is also very adept at breaking up opposition play. Both he and LoCelso made some exquisite tackles today, at key moments in a city attack. Winks mops up a lot in the cm area, in my opinion it is another part of his game that is often overlooked.

How the bloody hell are you guys giving Lloris MOM? Twice he nearly completely and utterly screwed us, once with the penalty that wasnt given (not by want of him trying) and the bonkers moment he clattered Tanganga and city fucked it up while he ran around on the edge of the area. Other than that he was good but those were two huge brainfarts that ordinarily would have cost us the game.
How did he clatter Tanganga? Tanganga ran into him, understandably as he was dealing with the danger rather than waiting for Hugo, but hugo could have done nothing else.

Lloris 9 - great penalty save and some excellent pressure killing moments showed his experience we’ve missed him excellent save from aguero too!

aurier 8 - sterling didn’t get nothing from him and I actually don’t think it was a pen aguero was going down looking for it! But apart from that he was excellent

Toby 7 - passing was off but solid!

Sanchez 7 - solid few mistakes with his passes etc but done a good job and showed his aggression also saved our asses twice!

Tankanga 8 - well what is this? Is this Ledley’s son? What a find! So solid and he’s not even playing in his actual position

winks 9 - actually played like he’s meant too! Controlled things and worked his ass off tracking runners!

Lo Celso 8 - another one showed everything you want from a centre midfielder and love his little argie temper! He’s also so so so clever when sterling went down for the dive he ran over to wind him knowing he was on a yellow to try and get a reaction I like that kind of intelligence

Bergijwn 7 - didn’t do much but few flashes but what a goal!

Son 7 - so frustrating at times but worked hard and got back so many times to tackle etc

Lucas 6 - worked hard but didn’t really do anything
Spot on with the no alli ratings.

City won every statistic
except goals scored.
We defended in numbers
and as team
and broke well
when we got the chance.

Spurs and Mourinho
come of age.

Several good performances
Lloris, Tanganga, Winks, Bergwijn, and my MOM Lo Celso.
Aurier (apart from you know what)
All the rest put in a shift
and special thanks to our team mascots
for the day
Lady Luck and Dame Fortune
without whom none of these three points
would have been possible.

City must hate us and then some.
Now for Chelsea
in the proverbial 6 pointer.

I think Ndombele will complement the winks-lo celso partnership well in a 3-man midfield.

We need to play a 4-3-3 from now on, in the liverpool mould. And who better in the midfield 3 than these 3.

Harry Winks for me today. The best and fittest he’s looked for ages. Also drove with the ball a few times, one of which put them down to 10 men

Hugo was obviously great too

He also looks a totally different prospect with an extra body in CM. If we'd played a CM2 today I think they'd have wiped the floor with us but we looked solid enough to stay in the game until we got our chances. Winks was a big part of that and teamed up nicely with Lo Celso both offensively and on the back foot as well.

Nearly being the operative word. Nothing happened as a result of the events you mention. However his penalty save did have an impact .
