Cannot see us getting Champions League football this year to be honest, Son's injury was the final nail in the coffin. We were in a decent position before that was announced.
No we won't nowhere near good enough and we will also be out Tuesday night so much to look forward to as a spurs fan. ;)

Has anyone said ‘lose today and Top 4 is over’ or has this season killed all the optimists too?

Yeah it’s all done. No we can focus on “to europa league or not europa league, that is the question”. For me, it’s play in it.

It’ll be a mid table finish IMO. There’s nothing of note left in the squad to galvanise themselves or the fans.

I still genuinely believe that the smart thing to do after Son’s injury was to blood Troy Parrott. Ok there’s a chance he may not have done the job but the fans always give academy players so much more time and support, the general atmosphere going into these games would have been so much more positive. We all wanted to see him play, and support him.

It really can’t have been worse than having these midfielders playing up top, unable to hold it up, run the channels, and get on the end of things.

Mourinho’s reasons for not playing him I’m sure are valid in his own mind. I don’t blame him, he’s inherited a squad with limited options and huge frailties, but it does feel he’s made things a little more negative and harder to get a performance than he needed to though.

We could do with a season outside of European competition, but we need that rebuild to happen if we want to bounce back immediately.

There's 9 matches to go for us. If we can get 4/5 games out of Son and maybe 2/3 games out of Kane we have a chance at a Europa League place. If not then my prediction is 10th.

After the Villa match I was very confident we'd get top 4. Son's injury was the one that fucked us.

If we lose to United next weekend as most of us will expect, we’ll be SEVEN points behind 5th, Our season could be officially over in 7 days ...

Utd leadership looking smart for backing Ole over individual players and agendas. They 2 points ahead of us when Poch was fired but looked similarly stagnant but some patience and backing has done wonders for them.

I think the only chance of us getting 4-6th place is we are only competing in the league and out of CL. That way the team gets enough rest between games and Jose can work on developing the team.

We're not in it because we're not playing well enough (one or two are) & we're not playing anything like a team.

we've got as much chance of winning the champions league this season as we have of getting top 4/5...........that is to say zero chance. Let's get this horrible season out of the way

I haven't seen anything to suggest we are going to start winning games any time soon. The rest of this season is a right off. Jose seems to be throwing everything at the wall in hope of something sticking. It's a shame to feel like we are already out of the CL despite having a 2nd leg.
