We should be readying a bid for Barnes and/or Maddison from Leicester. I doubt they'll stay on there. And since we have our own issues with retention and needing to get people out the door, it would be refreshing to get someone like Barnes who has developed into a fine attacking force at a good age.

They’re bang in trouble but they’ve also got Bournemouth, Everton and West Ham at home. Who stays up is going to come down to the games between the teams in trouble.

On the last day of the season there are potentially 3 games where both teams could go down:

Palace v Forest
Everton v Bournemouth
Leicester v West Ham

It could be chaos!

The Spurs fan in me knows West Ham need to win this.

The football fan in me wants to forget spurs exist for a night, see West Ham get smashed, and revel in their misery in the hope they go down.

Big game for Brighton against us at the weekend. They're 4 points behind us with 2 games in hand (tricky ties, no doubt). So a win would really set them up for a battle with United for 4th. I expect Newcastle to romp away into third at this point - they've only lost 3 times and seem to have momentum now at a critical point in the season. I'd be delighted for Brighton if they managed to get 4th, they are certainly deserving.

I don't want us anywhere near 4th spot by the end, and don't expect us to be. We stink out elite European competition anyway, and I'd rather Levy not get the golden goose of 4th place given his incompetent oversight of the team for years now.

So you're basically saying you hope Brighton beat us.

Just hoping one of them or Leicester get sucked down there. Would be hilarious and absolutely no guarantees they'd bounce straight back up.

I would add Everton but as a club I really don't want them to be in any terminal danger, so reluctantly I want them to survive.
