Its games like that that make football so enjoyable. The underdog slipping one up the favourites.

So I assume tomorrow we are preferring the following at Old Trafford

  1. Asteroid
  2. United Win
  3. Tactical nuke
  4. Draw
  5. Plague
  6. Nuclear Winter
  7. Arsenal Win

I still think Kane owuld have been much more suited to Man City than Haaland is to them. Kane would have added a bit more intelligence, creativitiy and unpredictableness in their play. Theyre a bit too - focussed on Haaland and its predictable
Agree. Kane its not just a world class striker, he's a world class midfielder.

And the thing is - Man Citys problem hasnt been scoring goals but facing those kinda games where the other team just defend it out - you need somethign different.

I would be very interested to see whether Man City score more goals this season than last - all the signing does is displace the goals that would have been otherwise scored by the others.

Haaland is a great great finisher etc so im not saying he isnt

We're on 14 points mate ?

Prem League folks hadn’t updated their until way after, I deleted that and put in their updated one.
BBC had theirs updated but it is harder to copy on the iPhone.
Apologies

Love the commentator going on about the ball being played backwards. It was onside, but not for that reason.
Does anyone know if it would have been onside for that reason had Coutinho been goal side of the defender?

Seems mad for something to be offside when it's actually disadvantageous to be offside!

The ball played backwards thing is a myth. The AR thought Coutinho was offside and it didn't matter what direction the ball went.

So even after 7 games we could be only 3 points behind city
long way to go but I'm sure we will get even better as the season goes on

I'm buzzing for City away next week.

Soaking up pressure and playing to our strengths on the counter.

And Conte will emphasise the pressure is on them.

Not sure I understand what you mean, if the ball is ahead of the attacking player then they’re not offside.

I'm talking about a player who is in an offside position (ahead of the ball/2nd last defender) who then goes back to get the ball like what the Assistant ref thought happened here. There's a myth that if he was in an offside position that it wouldn't be offside because the ball went "backwards".
