Past experience has scarred me to assume the worst.I just hope Burnley don’t regret missing all those earlier chances.

No.There might not be enough time for that. Would 19-0 be okay, sir?
Let's make it 6.
Could be right. Definitely feels like he sees a true success at City is delivering the CL.Kinda feels like the beginning of the end for Pep, doesn't it? I don't mean just because of today obviously, but in general his energy/vibes have been off all season, and it feels to me like he's emotionally withdrawing, which is a thing he does. Wouldn't be surprised if this is his last season in the PL, perhaps barring a CL win.
As long as refs keep not giving clear fouls just because a players stays on their feet, gamesmanship will always prevail. How many times have you heard a commentator say "he would've got something had he gone down"?Forgive me for sounding a lot like Sean Dyche, but how shit is modern football? I don't get to watch a lot of football these days since I don't have sky or BT. instead I follow a lot of games on the radio, then I'll watch the highlights if I can be bothered. But watching MOTD2 last night really highlighted to me just how much "gamesmanship" goes on currently. (I know it's not a new thing)
Just in the spurs/city game. If I'm honest I think the sterling challenge was a free kick at worst. It's a 50/50 and Stirling actually made contact with the ball first. I'm not saying it didn't hurt Dele. But it was an honest attempt to win the ball.
Stirling definitely dived after the penalty though. He was on his way to the ground before he even got to Hugo. When he ran towards the ball, he has no intention of keeping the ball in play and scoring. Purely get another penalty.
I even thought the penalty was soft. Aguero was sheilding the ball so had a strong stance, Serge tried to get a leg around him. Hardly any contact and Aguero goes down feigning injury. Pathetic.
What's really annoying though is all this kind of behaviour is actively encouraged by pundits and commentators.

Mate go back and actually watch some of the games from the 70s, 80s and 90s and you’ll see some real shite. I caught an old match on BT Sports “classic” programme. Grim and negative. I’d forgotten how boring teams could be when you could still pass back to the keeperForgive me for sounding a lot like Sean Dyche, but how shit is modern football?
