Uh oh, he's probably on the phone to piers Morgan as we speak!

Seriously though, Portugal are probably better without him

I agree.. so they can play more as a team than let it be all about him.

Felix shouldn't be starting over Leao.

De Jong on Ronaldo: the great players leave the stage gracefully……then gave Zidane as an example.

I guess that headbutt was graceful ?

Yeah, I just shook my head at that! There have been some really unusual comments made by the pundits during this World Cup.

Hartson did one earlier the the Spain/Morocco game, where Ziyech didn’t shoot when the ball came to him, and Hartson said if it had been on his right foot Ziyech would have hit it. Surely everyone knows Ziyech is predominantly left footed?!

Every game they've played they have started to lose the midfield after 30 or 40 minutes. Because the team need to work twice as hard to make up for Ronaldo's lack of work off the ball.

They've then immediately looked more compact and got ahold of the ball again.

They play Ronaldo and they will struggle to get on top of Switzerland. It's totally the right call and any coach who wants to win isn't going to risk that and is going to put out 11 players who will fight for everything.

Wish dickheads like Morgan would realise that. What makes it worse is people who played the game like Keane and Souness going against it too. It's not 2002, you can't afford to carry passengers even against weaker countries.

And by the player who replaced Ronaldo. 21 years old and today his first Int'l start.

Portugal - really dripping with talent aren't they?

What was the point in showing that VAR check?
Did anyone think it was even close to offside...
