Great result but Senegal were complete piss. Zero ambition once the 2nd went in, just accepted they were going out. Should be a cracker against France regardless.

Dead second half, which was what we wanted. Senegal gave up pressing and just let us have the ball, we scored a fairly early third to wrap the game up, and then wound it down and made wholesale subs and waited for the final whistle.

I'd make us definite underdogs vs. France, they have outstanding individual talent, but they're always a bit 'Moments FC', and if we can defend well and give up minimal opportunities then who knows what happens. We will have to be bang on it to win that one... but that's how it should be in a World Cup quarter final.

He has played much better for England than he has for United. We may get lucky at times, but that's clean sheets in every game bar the first one (one goal being a penalty). I don't get the hate on players I really don't.

Maguire’s had issues but fans forget they were sweating on his fitness in the run up to the Europa final. He’s nowhere near as bad as suggested - in a team with a competent midfield, he proves that. Will be in another team of the tournament and it’ll be fully deserved.
