Was a pretty shit survey
No straight question actually addressing the topic.
No straight question actually addressing the topic.
It doesn't take much imagination to understand how such a survey could be skewed if it was made open to all.
Perhaps you didn't notice last year when Judas was voted into Spurs fans' all time PL team according to the results of an open to all poll on the club's official facebook and twitter pages? How did it happen? Simple. Because Arsenal fans got wind of the poll and piled in to vote.
Given any opportunity to piss Spurs fans off, you can guarantee that Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham fans (among others) will take it. Perfectly understandable. We'd do the same to them.
I did notice, thanks.
Can you tell me, based upon how the poll is set up, it could be skewed?
The whole point of the survey is to get an idea of what Spurs fans feel about the subject. And, presumably, to take some sort of action on the basis of the findings.
If you were to get thousands of responses from mischief making fans of other clubs, THFC might get a false impression and consequently take the wrong action as a consequence.

I really enjoyed venting on thereHere you go mate, this fella put it up online for non-members.
I suppose answers won't be considered - it's just fir interest sakes I suppose

I guessed that.
Given that these responses would have to be "thousands of people" bothering to spam in unique wording, opposed to casually clicking a like button or whatever, I think you're dreaming.
And what result would these "thousands of people" be out to affect?
Sorry, this looks like a very, very unlikely hijack indeed.
It doesn't take much time, or unique wording, to pose as a Spurs fan expressing opposition to other Spurs fans using the word "yid". It can be done in just one, very brief sentence.
But really, I don't think this is a point worth labouring, mate.
The survey isn't open to all. Rightly so. So the discussion is hypothetical and not at all important!
Mmmn.
You didn't tell us it was "hypothetical" when you made your initial point, or that it was "not at all important."
You suggested that thousands would skew it and that this legion of bastards are so motivated that they would manufacture "very brief sentences" but you haven't said who you suspect this mob of activists are - or what they might ultimately seek to achieve - your Sol Campbell thing isn't comparable, btw.
I wasn't aware that I needed to tell anyone that the discussion was hypothetical.
You might think that the Campbell poll isn't analogous but I disagree. So we reach an impasse. No point discussing it further.
Have a good weekend, fella.
