Had massive case of the baby brains and confused Schurlle for Werner. A lot happier that it’s Werner.

It's worth a punt, but we need someone clinical. Hopefully Werner can find some old form and finishing. Richarlison is ok but doesn't really cut it as a killer in front of goal. And Johnson is coming along g nicely, but quite profligate. Werner on a loan with an option to buy is decent, but he needs far sharper finishing than we saw in his PL career to date. He missed several gaping chances and if he cuts out the howlers he'll have decent output.
All 3 having scored 4 pens to our 1 (with city and Liverpool both missing further pens)I agree that having a more clinical striker would be superb and eventually we need to look at long term succession planning for Son.
But right now it’s not like we’re struggling to score. We’re the fourth highest scorers in the league (42), only Man C (45) and A Villa and Liverpool (both 43) have scored more than us.
This season Son (12), Richarlison (7), Kulusevski (5) should be finishing with double figures or close to it. Maddison when he returns should be aiming for double figures or close to it (3 so far). Werner if he can contribute 5 goals (the equivalent of double digits across a season) could make a big difference in this context.
Last season the only player other than Kane to score double figures was Son (14 in all comps). Kane, arguably the most clinical striker in the world, scored 30 league goals last season but we are well on the way to replacing those goals. Werner could help with that, even if he’s not as clinical as ideally we would like.
Jennings tarnishes Chelsea more every time he opens his mouth and Chelsea was far from untarnished already!Tarnished his Chelsea legacy according to that welly boot Rory Jennings..
Trouble is that clinical PL strikers will cost upwards of £100m and we aren’t going to spend that and if we were then we couldn’t find anyone in Jan to spend it on.It's worth a punt, but we need someone clinical. Did he say the same thing about Havertz/Arsenal ?? ... or Cech/Arsenal... or... David Luiz/Arsenal... or... Jorginho/Arsenal... or Willian/Arsenal... ???? ....Tarnished his Chelsea legacy according to that welly boot Rory Jennings..
Name me these clinical PL strikers though even at that price.Trouble is that clinical PL strikers will cost upwards of £100m and we aren’t going to spend that and if we were then we couldn’t find anyone in Jan to spend it on.
Yeah he'll be 5th German in the PL to play for us with Zeige Klinsmann and the absolute legend that is Steffen Freund the other 3Was Lewis Holtby the last German to play for us? Can’t remember any others in recent times.
Was listening to it while in the car, he did mention Havertz/Arsenal but was happy with the money they got for a poor player. His main theme was that Timo was awful and he'd put him in his worst Chelsea 11 ever... But still crying that he was joining usDid he say the same thing about Havertz/Arsenal ?? ... or Cech/Arsenal... or... David Luiz/Arsenal... or... Jorginho/Arsenal... or Willian/Arsenal... ???? ....
Our game is about intensity and we are seeing players come on after 60 mins who are dynamic and lots of pace. It doesn’t work if that can’t be maintained. Werner has great pace and also is a player that turns defenders quickly in small spaces.I agree that having a more clinical striker would be superb and eventually we need to look at long term succession planning for Son.

There's almost no complaining or moaning in this thread. So we start Richarlison and Brennan Johnson with no backup for a month, and we complain and moan about Timo Werner? That's madness.
He can't have been watching Chelsea long or have a good memory. They've signed some absolute donkeys. I suppose when their fans can't even remember all the players they bought in the last couple of windows, how can they be expected to remember further backWas listening to it while in the car, he did mention Havertz/Arsenal but was happy with the money they got for a poor player.
