He had an absolute shocker last night, the ball would just not stick. I think this season generally his general play has levelled up but last night was a bad day at the office against a team that don't let you breathe.

His two ankles were heavily taped, does he always have this or is he playing through something for the sake of the team? I've not noticed tape and strapping around his legs like that really before.

I felt like he wasn't fit looking at the way he was moving in the first half but we know he has games like this where he just doesn't look at it. You'd have thought he would've been positively erect at the prospect of going at a player from their academy who's only playing because of injuries but he barely even tried to take him on.

Maybe he's got one eye on the Asian Cup and doesn't want to take any risks but that wouldn't be a good look for our captain. For what it's worth I don't think that's the reason - he just has these games where it's like he's forgotten how to be a professional footballer.

He played like his ankles were taped together. He clearly likes the Brighton pitch as he spent most of his time horizontally on the grass.

Which dive? There was one that was a clear foul which I’m baffled at why it wasn’t given. Might have been just outside the area
Yeah it was a foul, Brighton did it quite a lot with no intervention from the ref. Changes the flow of games

Has it been mentioned Speaking to steward after game today who reckons Son off to Saudi league after Asian Cup
BS or what?
Why on earth would a steward know that. Come on mate, use your noggin. He’s only been captain for 4 months, and plays every game.

As if we’d sell our best player in the summer, and then again in January.

This might be unpopular but I thought Son was dreadful, particularly his passing, until he scored that great goal. Then all was forgiven.

USA today(NBC sports) did a great piece on a true Spurs fan who has cancer and his daughters who wrote a fan mail to sonny, well he was taken back and got the Dad(completely surprised) and daughters to meet him at Hotspur Way, the dad was chuffed and got Sonny's shirt signed by him, the whole team and of course Ange.
A lovely gesture, well done Sonny.

There's a video of that posted in this thread somewhere some few pages back. Can't remember exactly where but think it was before Xmas.
