Was really surprised yesterday when he stopped in the footrace with their right back, he appeared to be playing within himself. Wonder if he's carrying a bit of a knock or slight injury as he didn't seem to be himself but of course he still scores which just underlines his absolute quality.
Like Kane I do think we take him a bit for granted.

So Son is still statistically one of - if not the, best finishers in the world. He's been like that for a while hasn't he, last season excepted?

If Haaland had the height and pace of Kane he'd be a bog standard lower mid table clogger wouldn't he?

Haaland is a freak of nature but he does have a good first touch.

I’m intrigued to see how we fair without Son in the team. Of course I’d rather we had him available but I have found him extremely frustrating to watch at times, particularly in the build up phase.

When given time on the ball, he tends to take far too many touches and loses possession. He is at his best running in behind and striking.

The way teams tend to defend against us results in little space in behind the defence, so I’m looking forward to how we may look going forward, potentially showing more creativity and sharpness in the final third.

This is a pretty wild stat. I think it's safe to say he's the best finisher in the world.

Would be curious to know what the XG would look like if they counted both his left and right foot as his "strong foot", as I guess a lot of his upside vs xg will be down to low xg count on his weaker foot, when in reality he doesnt have one.

The only true two footed forward at the top level, glad hes on our team!

Timo is as good a filler for Son as we could hope for in the circumstances. A few years ago he was linked when quite young and many on here were mad for him, me included. Could be a great piece of business. Definitely a player in there, and suits our style of play.
