I think Son and Davies are the only players he has'nt rested this season.

I'm not really trying to blame JM but he must understand the risks.

I agree to a point. He could have left Son on the bench yesterday. Problem is Kane and Son head and shoulders above everyone else when it comes to goal contribution. Which is presumably why Jose has been so adamant about the need to sign another striker.

Part of me, maybe blind hope, is wondering if this is gamesmanship from Jose. Taken off as a precaution, but actually nothing wrong with him, spring him on Chelsea as a surprise.

Would be incredible from
Jose if so but I really don’t think he’d risk the PL points when he could’ve kept him on until 60 mins and that might have been enough for us to get the 2nd.

I’m pretty sure he’s done it badly but hopefully not like Harry Kane’s from last season hopefully just a few weeks out and back after international break not bloody months out ?????

As we know from the documentary there is no way JM can know how serious or how long he is going to be out for straight after the match.

Surely if it was serious then he would be at least limping? I remember Kane hobbled off when he did his.

Tbf we're lucky we have the international break soon.

I'm hoping Jose was just exaggerating the seriousness of the injury, no professional tries to run off a hamstring injury and Son was mobile at HT. No visible signs in the game of a pull either.

Fingers crossed it was a precaution as he felt a bit of tightness and we are quietly confident he can play at Old Trafford.

Even if he misses Chelsea and Maccabi Haifa and is back for United I'd take that. We're not in the realms of "must win" games in the PL yet, but getting 3 points against United would be huge, and Son is crucial to us doing that.

When he went off originally I assumed it was planned as he had played 90 minutes on Thursday.

Hoping he just came off as a precaution - but actually happy for him to rest.
Can't run our players into the ground - need other players, like Moura, Bergwijn, Dele to step up!

Until we get back up striker in and bale back fit don’t think we can afford to sell dele as we need the depth unless Jose thinks jack Clarke can play carabao cup etc?

Think he’ll be out until at least after international break from what Jose said, unless he was bluffing but doubt it as he’s usually quite honest with injuries.
