This one excites me a lot. We’ve been fairly weak down his side for a while, but suddenly we’re looking at more explosive pace on the counter, class feet, etc. Got a feeling he could become immense for us as he settles. And helps a lot he’s coming in with someone he’s known for years. That will help the process no end.

Bale's sucking up all the oxygen (understandably) but this signing is going to be absolutely fucking massive for us. We've been crying out for fullback upgrades on both sides since we sold Walker and Rose injured his knee, going into this season with Doherty and Reguilon will make us so much more difficult to defend.

Well, is anything he said wrong? We have seen a thousand times that players not necessarily hit the ground running in the PL, despite tearing it up in other leagues.

Our own fans will come to the conclusion that he is not made for Premier League when he does not convince them in his first 30 minutes cameo.

He’s such a embarrassment. You don’t have to “know” anything about him to know he’s talented. You don’t go into the Real Madrid set up as a 8 year old and stay there until his age (obviously with some loans) and not be a very talented player. If I was being kind I’d say he’s so thick he meant to say “we don’t know how he’ll adapt” instead of saying “we don’t know if he’s any good.”
