In theory I agree with you, but in practice I just said he was part of a good defence, which finished closer to 4th than we are now, and that he then got invited back for Ledley's testimonial. Carefully avoiding judgement on his quality because I cannot remember anything from 2005.

Serge was part of a defence that finished 3rd and 4th and got to the CL final, both statements don't really mean much and lacks a load of context ?‍♀️

He's defensively poor, slow to track back, frequently out of position, chases his man across the pitch which leaves gaps behind and frequently switches off.

Yesterday he switched off for the short corner that Willian scored from - then did it again a few minutes later! Once is unfortunate but twice is unforgivable - as someone else said earlier I think he's not the brightest.

We get pulled out of shape with players having to fill in for him and his offensive contribution just isn't worth it. It'll be interesting to see what Jose does here because I don't think we will be signing anyone better in January.

I'd rather we played KWP than this guy and I'm not convinced that KWP is good enough either - but hey at least it's a possible investment for the future.

Thought when we bought it him it'd prove to be a decent bit of business and said as much in one of these threads. I know fuck all basically.

Far too hot and cold as a footballer. Yet another athlete we've been left with with little footballing technique.

Growing trend with this squad. Scratch the surface and there isn't a lot there.

I thought he'd turned a corner but it's clear as day he will always have a huge fuck up in him. He literally cannot defend. Our RB has been utter gash for ages now, Trippier's last season was diabolical too.

Missed the match. I am assuming he scored two own goals and got sent off?
Nah, people are just venting at their scapegoat of choice. You could throw a heap of shit at the squad and some of it would stick to nearly all of them. Aurier, Sissoko, whoever......meh, who gives a fuck which player really. There's about 7 or 8 that need moving on because they simply aren't good enough, picking on any single one of them is pointless because there are currently another half a dozen candidates for scapeship.

We've got bigger problems than arguing about Aurier or whoever being shit. We all know who they are anyway. We've seen performances like yesterday often enough this season so I'm not sure why people are surprised or upset by it, we've seen it before and its almost certain that we'll see it again this season, people should expect it. It's not Pochettino, and it isn't Mourinho. Somehow we've saddled ourselves with too many players who aren't good enough. One or two, we can carry but not as many as we have. The decline seems to have been almost rapid.

Squad management at Spurs has been almost negligent for at least two years in pretty much every respect. Yet you try and point the finger and apparently it's not anyone's fault :D

It'll all come to a head when Kane fucks off unless someone does a transplant on Levy's transfer glands.

He was awful.

Aurier is a bit better, but less likeable.

One poor game from Aurier when literally every fucker bar Sanchez played badly and the knives are back out. He’s been mostly excellent so far under Jose.

I find it really fucking bizarre how some of you are almost willing him to have a bad game so you can lob abuse at him. Fuck off. At least cookiemonster doesn’t hide the fact he’s a blatant racist.
I disagree with your assessment of Aurier, but that's irrelevant in the light of your other comment.

To accuse everybody who criticises a particular footballer of racism is either unbelievably stupid or despicable. I'll assume that what somebody said struck a nerve and that emotion got the better of you. But you're on very dangerous ground and I really hope you don't go there again.

Opportunism.

Levy got a call from PSG saying they can have a 50M player for 25M so he signed him.

That's how we roll in the transfer market.

Yes. This is why we end up buying duff players.

What an abysmal replacement for Walker.

No Manager can succeed with this transfer strategy

I think he’s getting better and better. He’s never going to be good enough defensively but this season has proved he has infinitely more to offer than Trippier going forward.

He’ll still have bad games but I’m not convinced addressing his position is as urgent as the midfield is now.
