If we are in for him (which by the sounds of it we are) how we haven't got this over the line by now to give the kid a bit of time to be incorporated in to the club is absolutely astonishing. Fulham are relegated, and the player wants to come by all accounts. Levy will never change it seems.. I can understand for a bigger deal to take more time but surely this one should of been relatively straight forward. Don't get it. No wonder Poch seems a bit peed off.

Seriously? The reason is because Fulham are asking for an insane price. Do you just want Levy to just pay them 40M? I sure don’t.

Now, if the question is about whether we should be exploring other structures of a deal vs just being 20M apart on valuation, sure, I’d hope a little more is going on beyond the scenes.

But if the selling club isn’t budging from their crazy price, and we rightfully aren’t willing to pay that, I don’t know what you expect to happen.

That is the point. By all accounts he only wants to come to us. So you would think they would compromise on the price rather than risk losing him on a free next summer.

Wouldn’t be free would be a few million in compensation, maybe they view it as worth it with the money promotion is worth

I know but kind of irrelevant. We want him he wants to come, yes he's injured but it is not severe and I am sure is doing gym work recuperation etc. Better he is here don't you think? so he can climatise to his new surroundings and team mates. Seems common sense to me.

You've provided 2 of the reasons why we haven't just handed over 40m!

We've signed 1 player (6 months too late as was a like for like replacement for Dembele) in 3 transfer windows. We have 6 days left and whilst other clubs get their business done and dusted we are still yet to get this over the line, and you are not questioning the club on their methods? Blimey Levy and Co really can do no wrong...

Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Cancelo, Tierney all done and dusted? Right?

You want to pay over the odds to get him using a foam roller in our gym. Don't get me wrong, I want to sign him but whether he comes in today or the last day doesn't make a blind bit of difference.

I'll reserve my temper tantrums for once the window has shut.

If Rose is staying this season, and off at the end, and we pick up Sess next summer for £15m tribunal fees. This is cheaper and better than signing him for £30 or £40m now and loaning him back.

I kind of agree on this. And just imagine if we end up getting them to buy Onomah and mayb CCV this summer - Levy would be laughing himself to the bank

Irrelevant. He still needs to adjust to new team mates and a new work environment.

How hostile do you think training grounds are? It's not a relief zone. You turn up, get rub downs, a free kit and knock the ball about for 2 hours.

Until he's able to take part in training there isn't £20m (based on our value being 20 and the additional 20 they want right now) value in him work shadowing Danny Rose.

What I don't get with this one was where all the stories came from a couple of weeks ago that we'd agreed a fee of £20m plus add-ons. I know the press aren't always on the money, but in this case it was pretty well-regarded journalists reporting with some certainty as I recall. How did we go from that to 'Fulham want £40m'? I don't think they're in a position to ask for a sum like that, so personally I think something else has gone on - they've moved the goal posts or we've reduced our offer.

Sure, there’s plenty to be concerned about with our transfer strategy.

But the Sess deal isn’t a good example of that. This one is perfectly understandable.
