Play Sess on the left and Son on the right with the occasional switch of wings works for me as I see Moura as too much of a risk as he goes missing too often ;having said that if you could guarantee the Moura of the Bolton Game then he is fine unfortunately you cannot.

Son's in very good form so I'd be reluctant to change his position.

Only Spurs supporters would advocate displacing one of their star players from their preferred position so a kid who scored a goal in a meaningless CL game can be accommodated.

I'm not sure the lop sided thing will be permanent. I think Jose is trying to play to the players strengths at the moment due to a lack of confidence. I could be wrong though.
Jose has done this his whole career. Ferreira and Valente, Ferreira and Cole, Maicon and Zanetti, Arbeloa and Marcelo/ Coentrao, Ivanovic and Azpilicueta. It’s not often as exaggerated as we’re seeing at Spurs, with one essentially playing as a wing back and the other as a third central defender, but this is very much something Jose teams have always done.

I think encouraging both Son and Sess to switch positions throughout each half, would challenge them both. But both could improve through doing it.
It forces a player to use both feet more equally, and keeps opposition players guessing.
Both Harry and Eriksen are able to do it.
Gnabry the other night and young Greenwood at ManU are two that I’ve watched recently that are comfortable on both sides.
It opens more potential passes and shooting opportunities.

One issue I have with Sess in for Aurier is that I think Son is really thriving in his current role. Son is able to use his brilliant wing play as well as his striking instincts with all the space he is afforded on the left. Not only that, our main combinations have been in that area between Dele, Son and Kane.

Switching it around to a high LB would lessen the impact we would have from that side of the field and I feel that we lack someone who can do anything close to what Son does on the right.

Aurier is a right back though.....

Eh, I dont think its really that big a deal. Son would do damage in either spot IMO.

The idea would be that we switch to a mirror image of the way the fullbacks are playing now. Play a wingback on the left and a player like Foyth on the right, effectively forming a back three when in possession.

We need to play Son further up the pitch though, he seems to be always coming from really deep positions.

Please, Jose, stop with this lop sided formation. If any player cant cut it in the position they play just axe them.

Seeing as Son is out now and Vertonghen looking like an old man and Aurier is...well, crap - Time for the inverse with Foyth sitting at RB.

I thought Sessegnon had a fairly good game today, his movement off of the ball is quality and if he can play like that every game, he’ll pinch plenty of goals.

Not seen enough to really comment on his defensive skills, but his movement is excellent and might be wasted if he was played at fullback.

While I thought his off ball movement was adequate, I was disappointed to see that he was conservative on the ball and looked scared to make any surging runs with the ball down the flank (something I thought he did a decent job of v Bayern). This could've been by instruction though, considering Mourinho's previous comments about Sess losing possession too often v BM. I hope he continues to get opportunities to prove his ability during Son's absence from the team.
