It's funny how the tempo of the game changed once Mason and Kane came up. The players all seemed to loosen up. This includes Townsend. Now some posters have also mentioned them all playing together in the Youth Team and it makes a lot of sense. There was a familiarity to the way they were playing. So much more relaxed and fluid. I guess that comes from knowing each other really well.
Agree with much of what has been said on here about the comparisons with Paulie. Such a shame. What's going on with him? Is he really that limited and bad? Did we misjudge a player who was wanted by so many big clubs around the world? A guy who started multiple times during the world cup? it has to be a confidence thing for him. I don't give a shit about position, formations, tactics, etc... the good players can adapt, and no matter what, always show a willingness to commit to the team and give it their all. he was a piece of turd last night. just prancing around without ever getting out of second gear. why is that? does he not care? why is he not motivated? you compare that attitude to Mason, and it's insane. Mason looked sooooo up for it. Well done that young lad.
