IMHO Hojbjerg has improved as he’s not having to babysit Winks (thus spreading himself too thin).
To be honest I think hoijberg has too many critics on this site, he has been just as good as bentancur since he's joined. He is just not as pleasing on the eye.

He is very effective.

Skipp adds a bit more bite and aggression as well as underrated quality on the ball. When he gets back we have three players to play those two midfielder roles.

For me I am not really worried as long as two out of the three start.

The huge problem with winks is what he offers (or doesn't) off the ball. He doesn't tackle, doesn't press and doesn't cover the spaces, he has a habit of dropping deep. Which leaves the other midfielder with a lot of work to do.

Where as the other three all press high and watching bentancur and hoijberg, they seem to take it in turns. They seem to have created a partnership in no time.

For the first time in years I am happy (or will be when Skipp returns) with our midfield options.

This was always our problem, Nuno had to play Dele as a cm just to cover this problem. José had to sit deep and we struggled to get out.

Bentancur is exactly the player that we have been crying out for.

Against West ham we looked a proper team, a team with quality in possession. I haven't said that about a spurs team for a long time.

Bentancur, kuvuleski and even Doherty have made this possible.

Still can’t get over what Tim Sherwood said about him. It just goes to show he really doesn’t have a clue about football as a whole.

If you watch him closely, you can almost see him having to remind himself to breathe. Fucktard.

I remember when he said Tanguy will run around all day for the team but doesn't have quality on the ball. I mean what can you say?

And he's paid money, actual money to talk about the game.

Have to say Bentancur has been much better than I anticipated. Still needs to watch getting caught on the ball but overall play has been so good. Looking forward to Skipp coming back so we can rotate a little and hopefully keep our CMs fresh instead of running their legs off. Some rotation along with being able to bring on some fresh legs when needed at the 60 minute mark will do wonders for our consistency from match to match IMO.

The deal for Bentancur shows there are deals out there for very good players that can be done on reasonable prices. This makes me excited for the summer recruitment.

In part the disclosed price was down to working around a sell-on clause that Juve had to pay to Boca, so the price of the Kulusevski loan/transfer was affected by this as well.

With Uruguay having secured WC qualification, I would love to see Bentancur rested for their final game of qualifying vs Chile. Outside of pride and finishing possibly top 3, I'm unaware of any specific reason for Uruguay to put out a super strong team. Considering it's a late night Wednesday game in Santiago and he won't be back in London till late night Thursday (at best) or Friday morning (at worst), having him avoid 90 minutes will make it easier for us to get him ready for the Sunday fixture. If not, strong possibility we'll see Winks and PEH vs Newcastle.

Bentancur and Kulu covered most distance in the league this year against City. That's pretty amazing.

This guy ? we have been crying out for a player like him for ages. He has been brilliant, a little time to adjust to the league but he is getting better with every week and I feel his game clearly has gears to go up. He keeps the ball so well and makes excellent decisions, the kind of player that the more he gets use to those around him he is going to get better and better. Brilliant signing.

Love signings like this, worst case we would get a solid 7/10 player, he was never bad and had one very good season when Sarri was at Juve. Still few years away from hitting his prime too.
