I don't think this is the case. I think it's clear we want to wait until summer to get such an important position and therefore want a loan to tide us over (hence 6 months with option for amrabat). We have also asked (according to romano) for bentacur on loan. If we wanted bentacur on a permanent we would just bid for him. They only seem to want 25m or so

Or it’s another opportunity signing and a chance to get a guy both Fabio and maybe Conte like for cheap? They are both DMs but profile differently as players. Bentancur more of a playmaker, whereas Amrabat looks more like a ball winner type.

£25M was the figure reported , intersting quotes around the time was that Juve would not let Bentancur and Athur leave together, meaning we would block gooners attempt for Athur. Personally would defo much prefer Bentancur than Arambat.

Most similar player to Brozovic in Europe but younger and playing in key position that we lack, so obviously we are not interested. Hope we get someone who can progress the ball, either with passing or dribbling, we have too many static players. Betancur was rated highly few years ago, not sure if he is still good.
