I knew it was too good to be true Benta is not back. We have zero look with injuries! He was doing pitch work last week so must have had a bloody set back

Far too many injuries at the club this season.

Questions have to be asked of the medical staff.

Just look at Lucas’ situation, completely baffling …

Bents just got injured on my son's FIFA career, out for 7 months.
If only we could do what he did and go back a save! ?

I think from what was said lucas is dealing with achilles tendon issues.

If so those can linger for months and are difficult to measure recovery times, so it makes sense being sidelined indefinitely.

Annoying that Bentancur isn't fit, though at least Romero is back and available to play against Villa. Swings and roundabouts. I'm not sure you can blame our medical staff for Bentancur getting injured with his national team. Same with Richarlison, it's just unlucky for us.

Odd comment - given that Bentancur was injured on international duty (as was Kulusevski.)

Its rather the duration of the injuries, than the injuries itself.

Feels like it’s always worse then expected, when it comes to our injured players.

Romero & Kulu are just two examples this season, where there injuries kept them out for what felt like ages, & much longer than anticipated.

Now we hear Bentancur has had a setback & needs a new scan, so who knows how long it will be for him.

Just feels all too familiar, just like it was when they kept delaying Skipp’s surgery.

Yeah he makes such a difference for us. Gonna be a tough period for us in Jan. can see us struggling a bit and being out of top 4 by time window shut

I have chronic achilles issues. It is the worst. Once they begin to deteriorate it is almost impossible to get them back 100%. Soreness after training, you don't want to sprint etc

Horrible injury.

I watched the latest Ali Gold video and even he tongue in cheek mentioned the medical team & Conte. Maybe Conte isnt the biggest fan? I'm sure he ranted about them last season?

Thought it was glaringly apparent on the Amazon doc. Mourinho didnt appear too impressed either.

Its becoming all too familiar now. Skipp, Lucas, Kulu, Bentancur. All delayed. Just need Richarlison to complete the set. I get that some were on international duty but the timeframes appear to constantly extend or there is a setback when back at Spurs. I would say its bad luck but it seems like every player and injury?

Gutted with the news. PEH and Yves often shit themselves on the ball, losing momentum or creating panic. The thought of a month of their triangles with sloppy Eric is frightening. Especially given we have very big games against high pressing teams coming up. Fkin terrible timing.

I find the constant vagueness about injuries it’s annoying. Why can’t it be like FM!! Is it 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks?

I know all teams think they have the worst injury problems but seems ours have been particularly bad in the last few years and so badly timed with key players out for key fixtures. Our run after New Year's Day (minus the FA Cup tie with Portsmouth) is:

Palace (A)
Arsenal (H)
Man City (A)
Fulham (A)
Man City (H)
Leicester (A)
Milan (A)

Statistically we'd probably nick a win or two from somewhere but I'd genuinely expect us to lose pretty much every single one of these games without Bentancur in the side. He's that important.
