I get that Emerson Royal seems like a lovely bloke and great character, but for me this is clouding some fans judgement.
He really needs to be replaced and moved on, he’s not what we need and especially not in a wing back system.

Great guy, average player.

Hes still young and a fine back up. I agree I dont want him starting though. Doesnt offer enough in the final 3rd for a conte wing back.

So we have 4 (Kane, Son, Richarlison and Kulusevski) for the attacking positions and it appears we want an attacking midfielder/playmaker for one of the 2 remaining squad places.

for the remaining place, do we feel it will be

1. Moura kept
2. Another wing forward to compete with Kulusevski
3. A target man striker (i.e Scamacca) with Richarlison operating more as a wing forward

My feeling is if a target man becomes available Conte would still be interested

I don't think it's disrespectful. There are 1st team squad players and backups.

Son, Kane, Kulu and Richarlison are our 1st choice attackers for 3 spots. Moura is 5th choice and will likely only start when players need a rest or have a big game coming up a few days later.

Does he play much from the right? Everything I have read is that his preferred position is left or central.

The system can be fluid just genuinely curious if he would stand in for Kulu if he was injured long term for example.
