See dick head Cascarino is shit stirring in The Mail.
Said Jesus will score more than Richarlison next season.
Well he didn't manage that playing for Man City so what makes him think he'll score more at Arsenal?
And Richarlison was playing for a team that were almost relegated and has moved to a team in the top 4.
Yes, can see the logic there Tony.
Guy is a total dick.
Jesus might well score more for Arsenal. But it doesn’t matter if he does. It’s all about how much each player helps his team and what he helps them to achieve.

Our need is not the same as Arsenal’s and our ambitions for next season are higher than theirs.

Jesus won't score as many as Son or Kane anyway so it won't even matter

I’m not really fussed either way if he does. All that matters is we get more points and that Richarlison plays his part.

I’m confident we will, and that he will

I wouldn't expect Jesus to score more unless Richarlison plays a lot less.
Well I would say that’s nailed on that Jesus starts more games . He’s going to be there number 1 where as Richarlison will be rotated across the front three . I would expect Jesus to score more league goals but over all competitions I expect Richarlison to be right up with him .

The difference between the Richarlison and Jesus transfers is if Jesus flops it's going to have a massive effect on their team because they have no one else. They're going to use any stat to try and prove Jesus is better but I'm certain we'll finish above them again anyway.

A gooner bet me the other day Jesus will out score Kane and Son, the same gooner who told me 5 weeks before the season ended they're getting top 4. I told him I would've thought you'd have learnt by now to stop saying stupid shit

Watched the All or Nothing Brazil last night. Observations (that may have been discussed before but not going to reread all 173 pages): I’m sure he’ll start plenty of matches but what really intrigued me is how in the Copa final after Jesus is sent off and Brazil is leading 2-1, the gaffer sent in Richarlison to close out the game with his ball winning, tempo control, and general shithousery (which I generally think of as a midfield sort of role). It totally worked and I can imagine late match substitutions for Sonny to do the same thing as Sonny isn’t a great defender in the best of times and he is usually gassed toward the end. And surely, Conte has noticed a drop off in Son when he is overworked. Richarlison can help preserve our aging Asian beauty with both rotation and truly effective subs late to see out late leads.

also interesting how easily Jesus was triggered by Peru and his inability to regain composure despite the efforts of his teammates and coaches.

edit: also, it’s not difficult to imagine several matches that head into the final 15’ with a narrow lead ending 3-1, 4-1. If you have a fresh and tenacious bastard like Richarlison coming in late, he’s gonna trigger a few counters when the opposition is pressing for a late equalizer. That will help GD as well as save a few points that otherwise may be dropped with a late score by the opposition.
Don’t think we’ve just splashed 60 mill on him to be coming on for the final 15 mins every game tbh

Well he's their main striker so you'd imagine he would.

Jesus will play every week at arsenal, unlike he did at city. Also Richarlison will be rotated and not be a striker for most of his games.

So really Jesus should score more than Richarlison, if he doesn't he's been a huge flop.

To be honest Cascarino is probably right. Jesus could score more goals than Richarlison next season because Jesus will be a regular at Arsenal but Richarlison will be a rotational player at Spurs.
I don't understand this comparing of player in the media, Arsenal Wanted Jesus and got him, likewise with us with Richarlison.

I saw this, but he fails to comprehend that it’s a squad game. Jesus will
Play twice as many games but with only be 4/5 goals off Richarlson.

What he should be looking at is we paid 60m for a layer who will rotate and Arsenal bought a player who hardly got a sniff at City to lead their attack

that shows the current gulf between the sides.
Did he give Sir Alex shit when they had Tevez, Rooney, Berbatov. Ronaldo?
One minute they say Kane gets run into the ground cause we don’t get someone to rotate him with. We get someone who can play all along the front 3 and now we have wasted money on a benchwarmer.
If we buy a ageing or up and coming player, we haven’t bought well enough and they couldn’t replace Kane or Son ??‍♂️

Ideally Kane, Son, Deki and Richarlison should all start 75% of games in all competitions and all play 90% of games

Just to add a bit to your excellent post:

1. He is/was super popular with his teammates. There were a few moments where it was just a series of his teammates praising his character, personality, talent, humour. He started and scored in the opening match and then came down with mumps. He had to be quarantined from everyone, the whole team had to be vaccinated and they all commented on how much they had missed him.

2. He's a big game player. As I noted in my original post on the show, he came on as a sub in the final with Brazil holding onto a 2-1 lead. Brazil won a penalty and Rich took the ball off of Coutinho (the next in line PK taker) and insisted on taking it (he scored it obviously). Bear in mind as well that he had only recently returned to training and the squad from having mumps. I think this jives with something that Everton fans have shared as well - he showed up in the biggest games.

I think there's a lot more to his game that will be uncovered by training with Conte, Son, Kane, etc as well. I'm really hoping that he can find that next level with us.
