they know Chelsea are learking
This is what the dinner last night was setting up. Richarlison, but also the potential around Winks, Bergwyn and even any on-going issues with the Dele position. Possibly even Gordon but less likely. We seem to have a good relationship with Everton.

I like this transfer, he is better than than Bergwijn and Moura so we now will have 4 really good attacking options in Son, Kane, Kulu and Richarlison. But imho we need one more still. I dont buy that he can play two positions. I mean I know he can but he will not play two at once. And Moura had a poor season really and with all the sympathy to him we should add another quality option to have five to choose. So so many games next season. If we want to compete we need more.

I think it’s pretty clear we want him and he wants to come and we see. To be willing to meet their demands in some way or another, not sure why the panic in here ?‍♀️

It's a PR thing. They know a big section of fans will be annoyed they need to sell. The people at the top want to be able to say thry got the max price for him and weren't shafted by spurs due to them mis-managing the finances.

I guess the worry is that Levy overplays his hand in the next 48 hours knowing they badly need the money and the deal collapses.

If a deal can't be done by the end of the month it might not even be on the table after. They'll have to just take their chances on any potential FFP hearings.

Hes better than Jesus - no doubt in my mind.
A good player who will get better under Conte, im sure.
Hope we get the deal done.

When you look at the 3 Brazilians - in a weird sort of way, the players traits represents the managers they are going to play for...

Richarlison-Conte : Hard working & Never giving up
Raphinha-Tuchel : Flair & Technique
Jesus-Arteta : Shy & shirk responsibility

Perisic is a good back-up option too.

W
there's others at that price, if AC wants him that's fine ...but let's see at that price, Chelsea not far off
Who else is there that can fill the role of playing anywhere across the front line, has the right mentality and will hit the ground running? Genuine question.

Talks between Tottenham and Everton continue over Richarlison transfer as Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and counterpart Bill Kenwright meet in London to discuss £60million deal

  • Tottenham have been targeting Everton forward RIcharlison with talks ongoing
  • Spurs chairman Daniel Levy met Everton counterpart Bill Kenwright in London
  • A £60million fee is being discussed as Spurs look to build attacking depth
  • Everton may be forced to sell in order to free up fees for manager Frank Lampard
Tottenham are continuing talks over a deal for Everton's £60million rated forward Richarlison.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy met with good friend and Everton counterpart Bill Kenwright for dinner at Scott's in London on Monday evening.

Various Tottenham players have been mentioned as potential makeweights though winger Steven Bergwijn, who was considered by Everton earlier in the window, has expressed a preference to join Ajax or another Champions League side.

Proposals involving Harry Winks have also been dismissed.

I think us going the Richarlison route, and having previous been interested in Eriksen, indicates that we have recieved encouragement or at least are targetting a deal for an attacking / creative midfielder.

If we look at the remaining business, it looks like

Richarlison
Spence
Lenglet (loan)
Main CB signing (Bastoni or Bremer?)

that leaves a creative midfielder as the remaining deal I think we will do.

What others though? Genuinely wondering.

Antony - quoted at a higher amount, very much a winger

Lautaro - £80m+

Osimhen - £80m+

Raphinha/Sterling - Chelsea bound

What have we all missed?

I thought it had been made clear that our DOF sorted these things and DL just sorts the final financials?

Seems Levy is on this one due to pre-existing relationships with Everton.

Parafici was probably the once that secured the agreement on the player side.
