There’s another reason why getting this transfer across the line is important. Levy and Paratici. It is a big transfer for us financially, no doubt. If it goes through at the rumoured level then I think once and for all it will show that Levy is backing the new system at the club. Signing a £60m cheque, especially after the Ndombele disappointment, is a big deal for us.

One thing that confuses me slightly (tbf I'm not very bright) is; if going for Richarlison means there's more money for other areas (as Trix said) and we buy Spence for c.a 15m £ and loan Lenglet, is Bremer our "big" money signing?

At first was a little underwhelmed not sure why, but like lots of people I’m not quite sure what I was hoping for. We don’t need a Nunez, Haaland as we have Kane and Son. We need someone who can play in a two or lead the line, but also across the front line and he can do all 3 so it’s move that makes so much sense.

Plus he’s played in some really poor teams and is highly regarded and plays for Brazil ffs!!!!

In fact it’s his recent record for Brazil that really excites me.

Haven't seen this posted but thought it was really insightful. Essentially talks through his story. Lad comes across as extremely humble and genuine.

Found particularly interesting that he had an offer from Ajax on the table along with Watford's, opting for the latter (and rejecting UCL football) only to play in the PL.

I've watched and read so much about him now, he really needs to come otherwise I've wasted a crazy amount of time!!

I think more people are put off by his antics than his ability. I have to admit it's taken me a while to get fully on board with him signing for us.

Now we won't see Romero kick the living shit out of him when they meet any more, that was one of the highlights of last season!
