With Son at the Asia Cup I see no reason to sell in Jan. I would rather see how he does post surgery. He offers something different. Not sure about not suiting our style, he's just more direct. His control isn't great but he's ideal for the high press. If he finds form in front of goal he's a great asset. I'd be tempted to keep him just a while longer and see how the likes of Veliz and Scarlett do next season onwards. It has been a problem for some time to sign a sub striker and I don't see Son being moved as first choice centre forward for a while.

Sometimes it just doesn't work out for players, he's one of them he's never has that luck with us sometimes players need.

Not being funny mate but who these days is going to give us 40m for him outside of Saudis?! Last 18 months he hasn't looked any better than Maupay and has just a bad scoring record.

Yep. Could have had a chance for a second if Son had slid in Kulu as well. Poor decision making and poor finishing.
Yeah, that's the final straw for me. He's just not going to make it here. He doesn't have a single outstanding attribute, he misses chances where it's harder to miss than score, and one major thing I have noticed is he is never near any ball that is put into the box. If it's crossed to the near post he's at the far post, if it's sent far he's at the near post, if it's in between he's still making his way into the box. He doesn't have the predatory instinct in the box and he doesn't have the finishing ability to make up for it.

Alright probably being overly harsh on him but patience is gone, he's been utter muck for us. let's hope Saudis finally buy some of our rejects for a change
