One thing that Dragusin has over Todibo is aerial ability.

Todibo isn’t particularly great in the air, he’s ok but not dominant, where as Dragusin is an aerial beast.

That is something we don’t have currently.
Its a very good 👉

Personally think he is the one we should go for. Only 21 years of age, experienced at top level football and room to grow and become a lot better. Romero and VDV are first choice so we don’t want any characters that may kick up a stink if they don’t get in the team immediately when both of those are back.

From previous reports Todibo is a bit of an awkward character so could be a problem if he feels he should be starting and isn’t.

Most importantly for our squad is harmony. Ange plays a fantastic brand of football and if the whole squad is pulling together in the same direction we can be successful.

On the assumption we aren't getting two CBs in January I hope we don't drag out the signing of one until the end of the month.

We need someone who can pretty much come in and start straight away.

We've got 3 big games in January and currently no centre backs available for any of them.

We need to get a deal done for one of Dragusin or Todibo quickly. Very quickly.

I saw the game yesterday.
He seems aerially very strong and aggressive front foot defender and also looked good when defending crosses & able to see off Thuram quite easily time & again.

To summarise, he does whats a CB is supposed to do very well. Thats a big tick at the moment.

As for as on the ball - lets see. His Juventus education should come good. He plays for Genoa who arent a great build up team. So, its hard to say like Vicario was in Empoli. As long as he can do simple things correct, we can build on it

I’m happy with either option. Seems like we’ve identified two decent players, and I trust our recruitment these days.

The good thing is it’s all feeling pretty joined up now in terms of the types of players we appear to be targeting.

watching both players’ YouTube reels one after the other I was left feeling that they were both virtually the same in style.

Both are aggressive and like to get in front of their man and nick the ball to start a counter (something we’ve seen a lot under Ange). Both comfortable on the ball and athletic.

Todibo appears to be a touch quicker and a bit more silky, but not by much. In contrast, Dragusin is clearly very strong in the air which is obviously an important strength for the Premier League (and something we are lacking).

It’s great to be in a position where we are finally identifying the right players and getting ahead of things.

It does seem very reminiscent of Raya/Vicario and Tapsoba/VDV. We identify a ready made player, bit more experience but also maybe a more expensive/more difficult deal to do, but we try. Unlike previous seasons, we don’t hang on and on, we have a short timeframe agreed, if no joy we move quickly on to the less experienced option on the basis it’s maybe an easier deal to do, but the are sufficiently scouted to suit exactly what we need. If that really is how we work now, then Dragusin is a yes for me.

Looks like we’ve opted for Dragusin over Todibo as it might allow us to get Gallagher as well.

I’d be happy with that.

Would be good to get another player from Serie A and a team where this will be a step up so he'll be humble. Having Vicario behind him speaking a familiar language will surely help as well. This seems the most sensible deal to get done as should have it done in time for Utd (possibly even Burnley at a push).

Romero and Udogie alongside who can speak Italian and Bentancur and Kulusevski in front who he knows and can speak Italian! Surely he and Romero crossed paths at Juve to

Was just about to say this would be the ideal scenario. Realistically we don't need a starting CB, we need cover. If it's close between the two, with say £10m difference in price, put the money towards Gallagher. If we get Dragusin, Gallagher and Jota reportedly on a free then that's a massive win coming out of the window.

I mean he is a good looking lad too. This works wonders for our defence.
Vicario, Romero, VDV. Davies nay bad either. Gets my vote 😂
Well, I guess it’s better than having a team of Peter Beardsley’s!?
Spurs - they don’t win anything, but they look good doing it.
